How many members do we have here? I’d love to have us all chip in and make a scholarship fund so we could send someone to the TITANIUM experience and get a full report and pictures of the great limited edition merch and special VIP seating.

THIS
Man, I’d put down five. It’s going to be a disappointment. And the general admission peeps will probably meet Al and so on. And there’s no way in hell any rational person would drop 500 bucks for a ministry concert. You would have to be very fucking special to charge that. Pink Floyd reunion tour. Something that’s once in a lifetime. Not a “reunion” tour when Al said he didnt have to do anymore music. Some pissants may. I can think of one who would. The one who would stick with ministry even after getting ass raped by gorillas, and shit on by al. Yeah that TAZ guy, or girl. I dunno.
I’m in for at least five bucks.
Anyone know how to set up one of those Pay Pal donation thingies?
The difference between $25 and $200+ or $500 (arrogance) is far too big to take the risk on and end up disappointed.
Trust me, no one will be disappointed because no one’s buying this stupid shit

Honestly I don’t think that Al may even be aware of it, or even care. It sounds way too much like an agent / management press release.
Although, it is amazing that it doesn’t even guarantee a meet-and-greet. Christ, even that shitty VIP thing last time guaranteed that - didn’t it? Grump, you went didn’t you?
For 500 bucks, you could go see the show with a nice high-class hooker PLUS a deep-dish pizza.

They should hire YOU to put these packages together. This is sounding pretty good.

Yes and yes. well “yes” if call being hurried past a card table that had Al, Tommy, and Sin sitting there “meeting him.”
Jesus!! charge 5X more and not even guarantee a chance to meet the dude??!! that’s pretty foul.

Word.
Eh. I have always been more impressed with rock star people before actually meeting them.
often times the problem with meeting your heroes.
prepare to have your image shattered.

Honestly, the first time I met Al and his wife they were extremely gracious, warm, and hospitable. Al was sober at the time (at least before the show) and it was a real pleasure to talk to him about politics, business, music, etc. He was really down-to-earth and didn’t have that douchey rockstar attitude or anything. His daughter and a friend were along for a few days at that time, so maybe there’s a bit of a tempering factor there, but even when Adrienne and cohort were absent Al was a real class act. And his wife was an absolute sweetheart. I was on the side of or back of the stage for a lot of the show and at the end and during the show Al was getting more an more agitated about some issues with the gear tech or sound settings or something and was becoming a bit ornery. I didn’t stick around after the show, other than to say my goodbyes (everyone was cool) but I’m thinking that WHEN you meet an artist makes all the difference in the world.
The last time I met Al it was after the final show in Dublin and he was a drunken goob and didn’t recognize me and was acting like a big 'tard. If that had been my only encounter with Al, I would have a completely different attitude about him.
If Al really does stick with his sobriety, I would encourage them to do more fan interaction and actually make those VIP packages something special. If they’re not confident about his ability to stay on the wagon, then including a meet-and-greet as part of the product would actually be a liability.
Anyway, I would never pay money for such a retarded sham of a package, but such VIP things “could” be successful if done properly (which they obviously are not in this case).
As for other “rockstars” and celebrities that I’ve had the privilege to meet, with the exception of “comedian” (yeah, the quotes are needed) Gallagher, I’ve never been let down.
The trick with meeting your heroes/idols/whatever is to keep it brief, unless they are obviously cool. Also keep in mind that musicians or other noteworthy people are probably pestered a lot if out in public and if they are anyway modest they will not want strangers always bugging them. But if it’s after a show and everyone’s relaxing (and you’ve just paid to see them perform) well then musicians shouldn’t be dicks.
500 smackeroos.
I still can’t get over that.
Gunnar, right there with ya on alcohol and meeting yer heroes.
Although, I’ll say that there were times that I wished a certain well known metal guitarist was drunk.
My cash will be going to better causes than Al’s manager’s pocket.
Besides, plane ticket, hotel, and show ticket(s) far exceed $500.
Geez, I’ve heard better considered retorts from my 5 year old cousin. I really am staggered by the fact you’re qualified to be a teacher at times.
He is a moron of massive proportions.
she has with a band that was vaguely relevant 20 years ago.
Fuck you, fan boy. They were never remotely relevant.
ah fuck, I hate it when people bring old dramas. [:/]

This is so true. When I finally got to meet my hero, Mick, I was very disappointed. He turned out to be a lisping, effeminate, balding, weirdo with poor hygiene, pushing 40. I was expecting him to be closer to 35 [:(]
hilarious.
Coolest Rockstar I ever met was Page Hamilton, dude has fucking class and humble as fock!
looking forward to it hopefully makes up for last tour. Needs to play all the older stuff maybe he will play something off twitch and give me a heart attack lol.
