Ministry Tour rescheduled again...no KMDFM

Good point.

KMFDM on the Symbols tour in 1997 with Rammstein opening is still one of my top 10 shows ever. Both bands were amazing.

I think KMFDM had Ogre, En Esch, Raymond Watts, Skold and Bill Reiflin onthat tour.

Rammstein singer completely burst into flames for a song and later beat himself over the head with his mic until there was blood was all over him. Later the keyboardist inflated a river raft to go crowd surfing.

Tour has been rescheduled AGAIN to March/April 2022. Melvins and Corrosion of Conformity are the new openers.

Save your money…

Fuck this tour. How can I get my money back?

Instead of celebrating the 30 year anniversary of Mind, they might consider celebrating the 40 year anniversary of With Sympathy…the way this is going.

The timing is actually pretty funny. I bought a ticket for a Danzig show that will be on 10/30 (God willing) so I canceled my Anaheim hotel already and this week I was going to give away my Ministry ticket to anyone that wanted it. I wasn’t even slightly surprised, though, that it got canceled before that happened. I’d been saying for a couple months that I thought Jourgensen was going to pull the plug on the tour (a bunch of things he was saying really forecasted it, in my opinion).

I’m too lazy to figure out how to get a refund, so I’ll just see what April has in store. I’m not too happy about getting a Wednesday show now instead of a Friday, though. Really dampers my party plans, hahaha.

I like these opening bands better…but christ, will it even happen in March? These postponement’s are tedious…

Seriously, who cares? Jourgensen does nothing but lipsync 3/4 of the set anyway. Helmet>Melvins.

I care…I have fun at the shows…if you don’t care good for you…doesn’t matter to me…I like Melvins way more than Helmet and I like COC better than both…what is it with certain members of the forum who seem to be upset that other people listen to current Ministry and go to the shows…why the fuck do you care what other people get enjoyment from lol…Jesus christ

Enjoy yourself. You seem to be bothered that I don’t care for some reason.

COC is waay better than Melvins too. I’d rather see both Melvins and COC than ā€œMinistryā€ at this point. I believe Pepper Keenan is back in the COC. I like the PK version of COC best. If Jourgensen would actually perform for the whole show, I’d probably go. No way in hell I’m going to see him lipsync his way through 60 of 75 minutes.

Everyone on FB and here seem to be quite upset with the last move. 3rd move and I’m actually happy it got pushed. Al is a super paranoid dude and this latest move makes sense when It comes to Al.

As far as FLA being notified…oh well. I don’t know them. When KMFDM fell off, I was disappointed.
This new lineup isn’t industrial (Al hasn’t been Industrial in forever) and a bit strange but I haven’t seen both so that works for me. Not a Melvin’s fan but I’m interested in seeing them live. COC, I’m a fan of mostly their earlier stuff and look forward to them.

Not bothered at all…you responded to my post with ā€œseriously, who cares?ā€ā€¦I said I care…I care about the show…I was answering your question…in terms of you caring or not I couldn’t give a flying turd…

COC has had Pepper back for some time now and have been playing some of their best shows in years…

C.O.C sucks ass.

And fuck Al for postponing this again and for the way they treated FLA and Helmet.

I’m giving my ticket away. Fuck Ministry. I’m done with them.

They screwed over Helmet, too? I heard about the fracas with FLA but didn’t know the same ā€œfuck you, the show’s overā€ attitude was extended to Helmet. Fucking Al.

As far as opening band replacements go, I’m ok with COC replacing FLA insofar as I don’t really like either band very much. Helmet vs. Melvins, I’m soooo torn. I have never seen either band put in less than 110%. But I guess the Melvins win, because I’ve only seen them 3 times but I’ve seen Helmet about 30.

Maybe Al and The Melvins can do a mashup of Filthpig and Night Goat.

I haven’t seen Ministry in forever, last time was probably that Ministry/RevCo tour. Guess see how trainwreck like it will be.

For me, all the juggling loses one thing that was cool to me. The venue. We’re one of the ones getting swapped. Was going to see Ministry at First Ave. now it’s a different place, which blows.

Openers, not much has changed. Out of the 5, only a couple really had me excited anyway. KMFDM, boring, FLA, so/so fun, but seen them a few times now, Helmet, saw them live years back, was okay, COC, think seen before and more excited for The Melvins most now.

Could miss it and be fine, but try to enjoy this train wreck pandemic tour.

I really really wanted to see FLA (they’re one of the few bands I’ve consistently enjoyed through the years and I love their new album and the new Noise Unit too) and would have gone to the tour if I were in the states when it rolled through but as an old Wax Trax guy, they and KMFDM were the biggest draws for me. Ministry doing Mind would be cool, but I’ve had diminishing returns with seeing Ministry live.

I’d like to know why they pissed off FLA though. I looked a little online but couldn’t see anything. Anyone care to spill?

I really don’t know the specifics. For all I know, it could be bullshit. Some of the comments on various FB feeds – Ministry-related, Wax Trax-related, etc. – indicate that FLA found out about the cancellation when everyone else did, which is, I dunno, maybe it’s bullshit.

Facebook.
