Ministry tour dates - 2015

May 5… DC at the Fillmore
May 6…NYC at Irving Plaza
May 8…Chicago at the House of Blues
May 10…SF at the Regency Ballroom
May 11…Anaheim at the Grove

Please stand by for other shows TBA soon…

I guess the Toronto date will likely also be in May.

wow. do we know who the lineup is?

Leaves room for a possible second Chicago show.

Last I read I think the lineup would be the same except guitar, which Al wrote, we have heard of the person. I think guesses were made in another thread. Im not predicting but about OGRE?

Bahaha if you listen ogre is not even audible in the 1988 shows i dn’t think he’s much of an actual musician esp. not to fill mikey’s shoes

Was his guitar even plugged in? Giving him a guitar just seemed like a reason/excuse to have him on the tours. Maybe Terry Bones? His name came up a little while back.

I will go see if they don’t charge highway robbery prices for tickets. I had the chance to go see them last tour w/Scaccia and it was like 50 bucks a ticket. Fuck outta here

I’ll need to drive 6 hours <— that way to Toronto
or 6 hours / that way to NYC

to see the show… so I would really like to see a setlist before I commit to anything. Don’t feel like driving 6 hours, plus hotel, plus tickets, plus beer, plus days off work to see From Beer to Eternity… but who knows.

I don’t know who the second fiddle will be on axe duty. Don’t particularly even care. They’ll hire (sorry, I mean “hire”) whatever competent player wants his chance to play to more than 50 people for a change. Mikey was irreplaceable. Everyone else is just interchangeable parts, like lips, ears, or noses on a Mr. Potato Head. Put an upside-down mustache on for eyebrows . . . who cares.

Yes, I’ll go see the show (Anaheim). I still love the music. And I really want to hear this new album performed even though a MAJOR player is missing. If they really do the entire album I’ll be stoked. At least it’s something different. They played, I think, TWO SONGS from “Relapse” on the last tour I saw. Lame. Al told us it was one of the top rock albums ever recorded or something, right? Well, okay, act like you believe in it then.

I love Ministry shows. Even when I hate Ministry I still love Ministry shows. It’s a time to hook up with old homies who I’ve been partying with and sharing a music passion with for the last 25 years.

And Ministry at their worst is still pretty good in my opinion (well, live, I mean).

Also, if we are to believe it this time (I sort of do), this really is our last chance to see Ministry. I don’t think anyone ever regrets taking the shot at seeing a favorite band one last time. The regrets are from the people that don’t go.

Anyway, yeah, I’m in. I am hopeful for what this will be.

Yeah I’ll definitely attend this tour. I think this may really be the last chance to see them…

Does anyone know the best way to get in touch with Al directly? I want to open for Ministry on the May 6th date and I’m trying to cut through the Live Nation corporate infrastructure shit.

What’s the over/under on Al living until May?

I’ll tell my people to have his people call your people so that the people can talk amongst the people so they can have some people arrange this.

Oh, my bad. That came out wrong. What I meant to say was . . .

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
HAHAHAHAHA!!!
HAHAHA!!!

Good luck.

You could try sending him a message on Facebook.

You could try the Ministry page, i can’t seem to find his personal page at the moment, maybe he took it down.

Indeed, Al deactivated his FB accounts (both the personal one as well as the one with thousands of “likes” and friends) a couple weeks ago. He made an announcement before he did it, saying he was going to work on music and projects so he was going offline for a while and didn’t want the distraction.

With respect to the usual pack of buttnuggets that get opening slots for Ministry, I’d actually be okay with VOIDHEAD doing a set at our gigs too, haha!

Sure beats Blackburner or Pitbull Daycare.

I’d definitely rather see voidhead’s band than any band I have EVER seen open for Ministry.

I’m hard pressed to think of ANY opener that I liked.
The only one that I can even think of is Sepultura.
I heard good things about Hanzel Und Gretyl but I missed that set.

Hanzel Und Gretyl were pretty good. It helped to see hotties as well. [tongue]

Whelp. $85 bucks to see Ministry at Irving Plaza NYC. The tix go on sale tomorrow.

UGGGG.
