I’ve been tempted to find more press clippings and concert listings - really want to access some old Chicago papers.
Does anyone know the names of any Chicago area arts/weekly papers from the 80s that would have covered Ministry?

The Illinois Entertainer had an in-depth article from 1982 that was transcribed and added to this site. Wemp might know the other local arts and entertainment papers and magazines from that time.

The biggest music/art rag in Chicago during the 80’s was the weekly free newspaper ‘The Chicago Reader’.

I did check The Reader. They do have an archive on their site but it only goes back to 87.

I had a flashback of going to the local library as a kid and using the microfilm reader. I wonder if those things still exist.

Wow. These are amazing photos. Probably the only time AJ has worn a tux. Well, maybe at his high school prom in the 70s too.
