Ministry old shirts on sale!

Check this out: http://www.thirteenthplanetstore.com/index.php?cPath=6

LORAH shirt for only $10!

i’d question the quality of the shirts… are these reissues? reprints? a big box was found in an attic and is now up for sale?

13th planet , god bless.
and who cares about this wicked spate. i would venture to say any lorah shirts are not original. they’re not authorized to sell them.

Yeah, those LORAH shirts are new designs that started popping up online over the past couple of years. I’d probably buy one if it was fitted, which is a more comfortable style for me. The regular tees are a gamble, sometimes the sleeves are way too big (wings) or the neck will stretch if the material is crap.

Seriously guys. I think some of you just live to bitch. I work with a merchandiser and its highly possible this is backstock “sell off” merch from a previous merchandising deal. I swear…sometimes I wonder why I stopped lurking and started posting at all.

seriously mr/ms egoiste,
al can’t legally sell that shit period.
feel free to buy bootlegged shirts, and i guess al will have this conversation btw us as a marker of his stupidity.
desperate al is the title i’m looking at now as we speak.
yes. i have a conveniently corporate job now.

Wow special ed! Fitting name. You, I, Al, the guy down the street, Hot Topic, et cetera could all sell that shirt if we bought it from a licensed wholesaler such as Signatures, Cinder Block, Merch Now, for example. Provided the wholesaler paid for license Al can buy them at wholesale and resell them if he so chooses.

edit: This should put the issue to bed. It appears 13P bought a lot of merch from Cinder Block. http://www.cinderblock.com/catalog/CB-cat-Ministry.pdf

oh geez.
i suspect another angie post.

[crazy] I’m not a chick. You can email me or IM me at egoisteboy@aol.com

i can smell these things a double decade away.
no thanks.

Dude don’t be a d bag just because I proved your conspiracy theory wrong. I’m not a chick and your sense of smell is way off.

I will say special ed that you seem quite outspoken against Al. Enough is enough. You knew him, he dicked you over, his music sucks now blah blah but this is just mindless trolling against anything Ministry related.

Can you please tell us what you have been involved in anyway? You say you know Reznor but he never wrote a ballad and then you say that you don’t like how he looks in a recent pic. I thought you knew him?

I just don’t understand. Who are you anyway?

I also thought you were the one involved in mixing ‘Flowering Blight’ because I thought you had posted something to that effect? I know that you know Chris Connelly…

I wanna get in on this hard core argument action too!
Egosite you’re a NEWBIE you don’t show up and flame a VET! IF al got a license to sell those shirts that would make them RE-ISSUES (“not original”) and not the real deal! So you’re both right. (although it seems funny with the financial shape Al would appear to be in, that he could afford a license for such a shirt)
OOOh OOOOh what now? newbie beeotch! Come get some![cool]

LMAO That was funny! I can’t help it the “vet” shot his mouth off and got proved wrong. Also, I never claimed the shirts were originals. At any rate your post was funny you’re ok in my book.

One last thing how can any of us speculate on Al’s finances? The fact is none of us know what his bank account looks like.

i have a rare genetic disorder which allows me to converse with and honestly criticize a lot of people.
i make no apology for that.maybe that’s why they like me.
look up the history of art criticism and get educated and off your 24/7 i’m into al thing.
find some other outlet for your lack of cultural education/ fixation on one idol.

i have (again) never produced nor mixed ANYTHING.

i’m with the smurf, here.
i have a history at this venue.
if you were that interested in who i was you would have already inquired.

and trent says hello, btw. (as does his whole crew)

I think we’ve whittled it down to his desperate cash grab at paul in his stupid law suit, as well as (I’m pretty sure) at some point Al has said that All of psalm/ warner Bros. $$ went up his nose or in his veins…
just speculatin’. Al’s not a bad guy, as far as i can tell, as long as you know what he is before ya get burned, I suppose.
I’m no Al hater on the board. But it is sad to see a man’s career fall apart for all to see… and by fall apart I mean he has a few decent new songs… but no solid glory like, imo, TMIATTTT to DSOTS. He no longer makes important music, which is a damn, shame
I understand Al is currently a desperate guy, That doesn’t make me hate/despise him like some on the board do, I tend to be indifferent to new Al and prefer to think of him how I did for his glory days- aint nothing wrong with that idol worship, ed!

It would have been nice if that LORAH design was the original tour shirt back in '88. As it was, the original tour shirt was a white tee with the album cover screened on front. I do like the newer design, and it’s almost worth the $10 to see it’s a nice-fitting shirt. It’s a shame no one is reproducing that All Day shirt that WT sold back in the day; I’m a nerd, I’d buy it.

idol worship informs our personalities.(i can’t believe i even said that).
the only musician (still living)who i idolize is scott walker. maybe because his songs are so good, even if he does a cover. i have to throw my arms in the air and praise scott walker.
my issue with people who may be here or elsewhere, is that your life is consumed by the idol and forget about the rest.
i can’t do that. have never done that, working within the minisrty camp, there was enough to sustain my interest in artists doing what i couldn’t do. and watching the spectacular things done.

and by the way. it’s really nobody’s business what i did for ministry/revco.
i’m working on a book for fucks sake.

gsmurf, this is an interesting debate. While I happen to prefer the material from Twitch through Psalm for nostalgic purposes I don’t think its fair to dismiss the later works from Ministry. Filth Pig and Dark Side are both vastly under rated albums in my view.

In addition, I think Houses of The Mole was an awesome album! The Last Sucker showed signs of brilliance and was solid all the way through. Rio Grande Blood while not what I would consider a mainstay Ministry album it was a great metal album. While you and I along with tons of other Ministry fans may hold a soft spot for Ministry circa 1991 and prior its a fallacy to dismiss the band. They evolved over time and while the sound may have changed it was all still great quality music (whether or not it be to your particular tastes is another story).

The band had Grammy nominations for Bad Blood, The Great Satan, Lieslieslies, and even Under My Thumb. I know its easy to dismiss that because its so much “cooler” to be underground. However, the fact remains that Ministry stayed relevant until the end.

It is still my hope that maybe Ministry could continue on in some form or fashion even if Al didn’t tour with the band.

hi angie.
