MINISTRY Movie 'Fix' To Screen At CMJ This October

Excellent report, Void. And I agree with your assessment of the film. I didn’t think it was a “message” piece on addiction or a “documentary” about Ministry or Jourgensen. I just saw it as a wonderful snapshot of an incredibly exciting band at a very interesting and crazy time of their career. It was more nostalgia than anything else for me.

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to your photos.

Void, I’m just curious . . . did you bring a notepad or something or you’re just really good at recalling stuff. I can remember things and events and random details, but I’ve got the attention span of a tse tse fly and wouldn’t have remembered anything that anyone said.

I think it will be very interesting to see if Al ever changes his stance on “Dark Side”. I’ve always heard “I don’t remember even making it”, but with his hatred of the Book Club, I’m curious to see if he’ll get his memory back some day and tell us all that Barker was, again, just the bass player.

I quit drugs and alcohol.

Also I told Paul Barker my band name is Nursing Home and he said “that’s fucking amazing!” wahahaha

I’m jealous!

congrats man.

[this is paraphrasing because he REALLY does not answer questions in a direct manner!]

runs in the family, apparently…

good stuff

Fantastic!

Nice dude. Was your date as tall as Paul?

Void’s date was Paul.

Excellent stuff altogether

Kudos, void.

Good question. Actually no, I believe I was slightly taller than my date, because I was wearing platform boots and for once she was not!!

And Paul was taller than both of us, although she didn’t talk to him only I did. Her favorite stuff is the early shit (go figure), but she enjoyed the documentary!

My favorite Ministry record is Dark Side, followed by With Sympathy. Go figure.

And yes Void (and Gerda) were nice enough to get the ball rolling on Paul shooting the shit with us for the site. I thank them - I didn’t make the showing due to my fucking wife leaving her keys at work. Awesome!

Hopefully a DVD will be out sooner than later.

fucking Void!!thats some kickass news!

Excellent bit of schmoozing for sure void.
I take back some of the things I’ve written about you.
Glad you saw the flick and have come to know first hand the awesome niceness that is paul barker.

Like gunnar I too agree with your assessment of the film.

I think if you PM’d Max, you’d probably get a copy. Through Facebook, I think. He loves that stuff, though he’s busy lately and who knows how easy he can share this stuff nowadays.

I was gonna do that about 2 months ago but the only facebook I see that he has is a generic one that didn’t seem like it was him but one created by a fan… do you have his facebook? Id give it a shot again. I sent one to his myspace but I don’t think he checks that anymore.
