Talent? NIN? [laugh]

It’s as good as thrash gets. Not really my thing anymore, but Scaccia was a MANIAC on the guitar.

From a previously stated source (please don’t post where):

“So, I got to hear 5 of the songs from the new album. . .and all I can say is: Wow.
Complete 180 degree change from Relapse. Slower songs, more melodic. Live drums on a lot of the songs. A good amount of synth, electronics, samples. Bass. (Electronic bass drops even!) Still plenty of guitar, and I’d still say it’s metal-ish. But far from the revved up speed metal of the last couple albums.
Sounds like an album that could’ve been released between Psalm 69 and Filthpig. Easily their most electronic album since Mind.
The opening track is just sick. People are going to be surprised when they hear this.
Unfortunately, it’s still going to be called From Beer To Eternity. But if the rest is as good as what I heard, the title won’t detract much.
Out June/July 2013.”

“Didn’t pay much attention to the lyrics, because I was so surprised to be hearing the sounds. But, Al’s never been the greatest lyricist. I can tell you, the song titles are much better.
there is a song that opens with a bass line that builds up to a noisy dirge that could have easily been a Mind outtake. Think the latter half of the album, “Dream Song” and such.
There’s another song with a female singing the hook! Harmonies and melodies! In Ministry!
I had a big dumb smile on my face the whole time. Dare I say, he finally listened to the critics? A little bit? I kind of think so.”

“As far as I know: Mike Scaccia, Sin Quirin and Aaron Rossi came in to do the live drums. (Pretty much the touring band from the last tour) And these are all new songs, no leftovers. I was just saying the one song sounded like it could’ve fit on Mind. (My lazy way of describing the vibe)
Also: that dub song you heard in the YouTube clip? That will be on the album too.

“Again, I only heard 5 out of the 10 songs. So don’t kill me if it’s only half good.”

the most electronic album since mind?! apparently he didn’t hear dark side of the spoon. but this is definitely welcome news…now i’m a bit excited!

This got me super excited! I’m really looking forward to it, despite the lame title.

Hm… The live drums already have me interested…

On the other hand, do you know who this poster is? It could be a bit of viral marketing. There was a 13th Planet guy that used to post here every now and then, and even when he got canned from that job he’d come in and try to sell us on whatever Lords of Acid was doing while pretending to just be a “regular fan” like us.

quit playing games with my expectations! no way!

The Guy’s a troll, right? Al going back to.basics? I’ll believe it when I hear it.

I really hope that’s not a troll. Because it would be the meanest, but most epic troll ever.

Please don’t be a troll.

I’ll believe it’s good when I hear it and not expecting anything good. However, due to this review, I’ll actually listen to it (or at least the minute and a half clips), which I still haven’t done for Relapse.

Aggh! No I know of the poster, I am a heavy user on Litany, more so than this one actually and I assure you he isn’t with 13th. I’m taking down his quotes until he gives me the ok to re-post them…
thank you for not quoting them

edit: I reposted it with his permission. Please don’t say who or where he is. And no, he does not work for Al or Angie.

If true, which it is looking to be…sounds very hopeful.

I just went to [that place] and looked at [that guy’s] post. #1 he doesn’t like Dark Side of the Spoon so his credentials are suspect (That’s obviously snark). and #2 How would he know any of this? does he hang out with anybody in the camp the way Gunnar used to hang out with Mikey? He never posted where or how he heard these tracks.
I’m meh about this.

Ha Ha Ha. He’s over there crying about how I joked he doesn’t like Darkside, (that joke was a nod to your previous statement, username) And he’s all mopey cause we’re not all swinging from his utters over his breaking scoop. It’s not our fault we’re taking Al’s 10+ year track record over this dude’s word. Dry your eyes dude we all wish we were you [rolleyes]. Your the best ministry Sleuth yadda yadda, bla bla bla, hail baby!

Sorry dude I didn’t see this edit… I hardly think it matters though, It was said already [where it was posted]. All someone has to do is go to [that place] and search “ministry is back” (like I did) and the thread shows up. but I’ll delete the dudes name for ya outta my post.

Hey i just got ‘FIX’,afra dunno if you know you’re thanked in credits. And, Al and Paul’s relationship as it’s shown seems to be nothing like al made it to be, I imagined paul as a stick in the mud, but he seems to just go with the flow.Anyway ‘FIX this’ is with it but has no notes AT ALL i was wondering if any PIG fans noticed ‘h.habit’s’ similarity to ‘blades’?

Crying? Hardly.

But I did think I should come over to say hello.

Hi, Cripple. Welcome aboard.

what’s your connection to hearing the album in process? and since you don’t like dark side, fair enough, what’s your top 3 ministry albums?

if the album isn’t pretty good i will hate you more than the guy here who posted the fake c-u-latour setlist.

Crying? Hardly.

But I did think I should come over to say hello.

egh, you seemed pouty. Thought you didn’t know I was joking even though I put the snark comment in there.

So, yeah, welcome to here.

Are you willing/able to tell us the circumstances surrounding your listening party? I know you said slower and more melodic but what mikey was playing didn’t sound slow in that youtube clip.

Thanks for coming by
