Ministry: From Beer To Eternity. New album

[reply]But, it’s not like he was drinking excessively beforehand. But yeah, the guy needs rehab.

seriously? Did you see the you tube liquor store post? Al was buying gallons of liquor. He just may have run on to harder stuff now.

That was a typo. The point I was trying to make was that he was already bad off before Scaccia came back. I saw the liquor store video also. The guy’s been an excessive drinking for almost the last decade. Mikey coming back didn’t really make much difference in terms of his alcoholism.

And let’s be honest here. Al was going to do another shitty album eiter way, with or without Mikey. I don’t doubt that losing him has affected Al. But, I highly doubt it’s the reason for him being so trashed, all of the time. The guy’s an addict, always will be, and probably has no desire to do anything about it. Ministry will die along with Al. This isn’t the “final” ministry album. Because, three years from now, it’ll be another excuse.

I agree with everything you’ve said, Piko, except that I’m pretty sure Mike Scaccia dying has effected Al in a serious way. It probably hasn’t helped his alcohol and whateverthefuckelse addictions either. You cannot know somebody for that long, work with them that closely, tour together, have them die and have it not have any impact on you.

Al was fucked before but he’s got a new excuse to get even more fucked up now.

Interesting points. I think i agree with most of what you said. Although I think seriously just alcoholic for the last decade and mikey’s passing as an excuse to move onto harder things again.

hate to say it, but I don’t see him making it another 3 years.

Same here but I thought that 3 years ago as well

I think Al has the Keith Richards/Lemmy syndrome…it will be them and some cockroaches while the rest of us are 6 ft under…

I’m sure there were plenty of people in the late 90s who probably said the same thing. He’s extremely lucky and has dodged many bullets. You’d think he’d get a hint that maybe he’ll eventually run out of second chances. I’d be amazed to see make it to 60. But, knowing his luck, he could make it. Luck runs out though.

Lemmy always said “if you want to kill me, just give me some celery and carrots”…

On the prior comments, yeah, it’s true. If I lost a buck everytime I predicted Al or Ozzy’s deaths I’d have to sell my home to get some more cash.

I have NEVER predicted Lemmy’s death, though, and I don’t think anyone else has either. Sure, his lifestyle would kill most people within a day or two, but that’s LEMMY. He cannot be killed. By anything.

I’ve never seen him appear “wasted”. I’ve never heard of him ever going to the ER or overdosing on anything. Heck, I don’t know if he’s even ever gone to the doctor. The dude is inhuman and completely impervious to the poisons and pitfalls that take down most men . . . Or elephants, for that matter.

That is what blows my mind about Lemmy. He never seems wasted or high out of his mind. He just always looks and sounds like he always has. The dude’s wiki page states the he drinks a bottle of Jack a day and has done so since he was 30 years old. I would usually call bullshit on a claim like that but… it’s fucking Lemmy.

I suppose what’s helped him is the fact that he was never dumb enough to mess around with heroin. But still. Damn. He is inhuman and also intelligent enough to know that heroin would be a complete waste of time and that speed is so much more fun.

Just listened to the podcast. Pretty pathetic. He may very well have the immortal rock star thing going on, but I also think he’s on borrowed time after the ulcers. Also, he says he’s had near death experiences so maybe he’s on borrowed time?

Now I have this awesome mental picture of Al going about his everyday business obliviously ducking insanely complicated Rube Goldberg accidents set up by the Grim Reaper- FinAL Destination.

And I just realized I totally repeated myself in my previous post. Goddammit!

FinAL Destination.

Perfect.

Color me genuinely interested in the new album.

so what is the date for the new album do out ?

So he goes on the show to debut 2 new songs and you can’t even hear them? All there is to discuss is his drunken rambling?

Sad.

It’s on iTunes, and one of the most recent dates. Just search Mancow and you’ll find it. It’s a free download, but you can just stream it on there.

Can’t seem to find it. Perhaps they pulled it?

The one listed as April 12 (the day Al was on), is only 13 mins long and contains no Al. I looked at the Mancow website, and it requires a subscription.

Oh well.

Listen to the 4/15 one for Al.

It was only a page back so I’m not sure why you weren’t able to find it. I don’t remember any new songs. I just remember Al being fucking wasted and feeling bad for the interviewer.

It’s a pointless listen unless you wanna see the shit state Al is in.
