I love Skinny Puppy! I honestly have no idea on anything Godflesh. I think I youtube’d them once and said meh.

We do and it is all good fun. I show my love for SP, NIN, With Sympathy and Depeche Mode often and never get scolded for it. Well, maybe a little bit, but it’s all good 
I used to be into Skinny Puppy back in the day. Even saw them in concert on the “Last Rights” tour. I don’t actually give a crap if people like them or not. That’s their own business. I haven’t really followed them for almost 20 years now and when I bother to check in on them it doesn’t do much for me. I do think their fans are very often whiny fragile souls that get butthurt way too easily.
Speaking of SP, I was listening to The Process the other day. Jahya is one of the greatest album intros of all time, but then it goes downhill from there. I still like to listen to Cult from time to time, but everything between Jahya and that doesn’t stand the test of time. I stopped after Cult. I hope I still enjoy Curcible and Amnesia when I decide to finish it. Really sucks cuz I used to like this album when I first heard it. They need to do another Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse.
I still dig (pun intended) their recent stuff. I love the Process, but I agree, it was the start of the nu-puppy sound. The classic albums sounded like they were pushing the edges of technology that really wasn’t there. The newer stuff sounds more like of mix of Download and Ohgr with a bit of SP thrown in for good measure.
If anyone is interested, the comments regarding the new album on the Facebook “Slicing Up Eyeballs” page are hilarious.
Personally I don’t really have any interest in Skinny Puppy’s newer stuff. They’ve all sounded way too similar and seemed more like Ohgr albums to me. They’ve lost the edge that originally attracted me to them.
I still enjoy their older work. I actually just put on Too Dark Park the other day and forgot how much I fucking love “Spasmolytic” and “T.F.W.O.”. That album and Rabies are excellent. I could never get into Last Rights though. A lot of people seem to love it but I think it sounds like a fucking sloppy, claustrophobic mess.
Also, Skinny Puppy fans are whiny, gay, degenerate rapists. It’s actually a proven fact that all SP fans are rapists. Google it.
