I think all of Tool’s lps are brilliant. A Perfect Circle has its moments. Puscifer - meh? Maybe if I’m in the right mood.

Liked Tool’s releases thru 10,000 days which I felt was a let down.
Don’t care for Puscifer. I enjoyed the first APC record quite a bit, the 2nd was okay, Emotive was crap.

Grumpy - Articulate just means he has a good command of the language and speaks clearly. That doesn’t mean his motives etc can’t also be mysterious.

and yes, Geddy Lee is also a Love/Hate; along with Mike Patton.

I’ll go so far to say I feel very much about Patton the way I do Maynard. When they play less jokey more straightforward rock, I enjoy their works. I dislike their attempts at being ‘funny’ or clever or experimental.

based on the context of what he wrote i believed he was using articulate in this manner:

expressed, formulated, or presented with clarity and effectiveness
made clear, distinct, and precise in relation to other parts

I figured a frontman’s ability to speak was kind kind of a given and nothing to brag about, especially since using that specific definition of articulate (good command of language) means one could say that some retarded kids are very articulate.

10,000 Days is nothing special and is a marked step down from Lateralus.

I didn’t think Lateralus was anything special either, but yeah 10,000 Days was definitely disappointing. Although I think I want to go back and give it another try after the thing I read on Cracked.com

Turns out that three of the songs on 10,000 days are actually one song that you need to lay on top of each other to fully appreciate.

Actually, turns out there’s a youtube video of it here, I’m listening to it now, and it sounds pretty cool.

So if you take those three songs off and just put the combined track, that makes the record 10 minutes shorter and that much cooler.
