Marilyn Manson 'Born Villain'

I’m with Void on this one. I mean, Manson regularly crawls around the stage and acts like a weird degenerate creature anyway, right? So he was down on the floor for a little longer than usual. So? Was this supposed to send his band into emergency response mode? It wasn’t like he fell off the stage or caught on fire or something. I think the band acted professionally and salvaged the show despite what they probably assumed was just MM doing his normal douchey stage shenanigans.

It saddens me to see the pathetic wreck he has become. I didn’t get a chance to listen to his most recent album, but the 2 or 3 before that were absolute dogshit, really unlistenable nonsense. The last time i saw them they were, or rather HE was, awful. Bloated and staggering about the stage like a dick. Playing all the old soundalikes and covers.

Yeah, the band was in a no win situation…they picked the best option…if they stop playing to check on him and it turns out he is doing his usual schtick then there will be hell to pay…plus they will look foolish as hell(even more foolish than usual[:)])…if they continue people slag them for being uncaring or unconcerned…so yeah, seeing as it was the last song, the only thing to do was carry on…

Plus there are others (roadies, assistants, doctors, etc) in the crew that should cover those duties (and eventually did after assessing the situation in this case).

I wasn’t suggesting that they were uncaring just that it was probably a schtick.

Did someone suggest that you suggested it was uncaring?

Absolutely, how many times has he puked onstage as something to shock “da kidz”, probably hundreds. Onstage vomiting is sooooo 1990s yah? He’d have freaked out if they stopped i’m sure. I like Twiggy’s dress, very nice. Manson did look quite distressed, weakly slamming his hand on the stage as the vomit flowed.

If you truly think that in this point in his career, puking during the LAST SONG of the concert and being carried out by EMTs was a publicity stunt, you are simply incorrect.

Why? He walks around in public with “fuck” written on his face… same caliber of antics.

johnny mnemonic is awesome!

manson is history, just like al. moooooving on.

Really needs to stop drinking. He’s gonna start looking like Gene Simmons.

Honestly, I’d gone in there thinking the same you guys are saying (this guy is underrated, they should bring him back into the band), but I can see now why maybe that’s not the right move. He’s totally washed out and seems to have lost his marbles to be quite honest…

As bad as that sounds, he’s undoubtedly worse now. Scott was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2013 and the odds that he’ll live more than two years now are very, very slim.

I was just sitting around and thinking how much I wish a 3 year old thread about a Marilyn Manson album would be resurrected…

Anything for you, my love.

The last time I resurrected a Marilyn Manson thread, it was 7 years old. I’m working my way down, you see.

I heard about that. He’s apparently resorted to selling nearly everything he owns to pay for treatment. Meanwhile, Pogo has expressed his joy about this fact on Facebook. If Manson wasn’t in such a drug-induced haze, I suspect he probably would have, too.

They’re such a pleasant bunch, those Spooky Kids.

… Ouch. I hadn’t heard of any bad blood between Daisy and Pogo. Any idea what happened there?

Damn! I don’t know any of them or their stories, but celebrating someone’s cancer and impending death is usually looked at as in poor taste and kind of a dick move.

But . . . I can’t say I’ve not been happy that certain people have died or even wished some a speedy death (it’s rare, but there are some), so I won’t judge.

If I recall, you wished Lou Reed dead and the metal gods made it so.

you recall correctly. I do believe there was another, also.
