Marilyn Manson 'Born Villain'

EMDM is easily his worst album from beginning to end. The High End of Low wasn’t a great album, but it was a vast improvement.

Completely agree.

I liked when he used to play Paul Pfeiffer on Wonder Years.

Manson is emo to the core.

And people made fun of Maynard!?!?

pffffft!

YES!!!

“I’m not afraid to die for what I believe in”

?!?!

For a guy who rants and raves so often about being an individual…he sure knows how to come out with the most cliche ridden, derivative shit imaginable.

Manson is a poorly imagined clone of everything decent that came before him. Probaby why the kids loved him and then left him in droves after they discovered all of the bands that influenced him - and realised how badly he had trashed their image.[/reply]

dude you way more emo than Manson. you basically wrote a book about him.

Yeah, that oughtta do it. Not much more to say about the guy, actually.

Peligro, can I buy a copy of your book? I’m glad to finally read something accurate about the kid.

I wrote a book on Manson??

Basically.

Manson only needed 4 words to sum up most of the cunty attitudes on this forum:

“babble babble bitch bitch”

always thought that line was “rabble rabble bitch bitch, rabble rabble party party.”
But that’s beside the point. More importantly… Angry Void is back!!! welcome back ya aggressive clown

The first single “No Reflection” off of ‘Born Villain’ has leaked via radio rip:

Couldn’t get the song in Voidhead’s link to work.

If you have that problem too, try this.

Thanks rev… Pretty generic song. no real hooks, no memorable lyrics… it’s just there. kinda reminds me of emdm, especially with this subject clone of the if i was your vampire song

Song’s very generic. I’d rather hear more stuff like that “short film” had. Typical Manson single. First single is usually whatever.

Cooking Vinyl, MM’s name label, uploaded a full quality to YouTube:

Here is my review of the song:

The Good - This song sounds similar to ‘Golden Age of Grotesque’ in the pumping production and more use of electronics/programming. I suppose that is thanks to Chris Vrenna. Good vocals, good lyrics for the most part. It’s a nice punchy single. The guitar riff is deceptively simple–it recalls “Portrait” era riffs. It feels strong and like a breath of fresh air for Manson and the band. I think 'Born Villain will have a lot of the bombast and vitriol that people have been missing since ‘Golden Age of Grotesque’.

The Bad - It’s a bit generic as someone else said, not very memorable. The lyric “You don’t even wanna know what I’m gonna do to you” is typical of newer Manson in that it’s a bit overly cliche’d and obvious, but I think that’s a very minor complaint compared to, say, the lyrics of “We’re From America”.

Overall, a breath of fresh air and I think it’s safe to say everyone is excited for more!

Think it’s safe to say that I haven’t enjoyed a good majority of his singles since 98. Nobodies might be the only one.

Not a lot of people know this but the ‘M’ in Edward M. Kennedy stood for Marilyn Manson.

Also, Marilyn Manson raped himself when he was in high school and he hasn’t forgiven himself since. He tried bringing a case against himself recently but the statute of limitations had passed.

This story, while true, is missing some additional critical details. What made the Manson v Manson case so interesting from the perspective of a law professional like myself is that not only was Marilyn Manson the Victim and the Perpetrator, and henceforth the Plaintiff and the Defendant (and really the only witness, too), but he was also the Judge, Jury, and Executioner.

After examining all the evidence and hearing his arguments against himself, Manson declared himself a HUNG Jury and turned over the final outcome to Judge Manson. Judge Manson by this time was getting quite frustrated with the courtroom shenanigans and told the defendant to “Go F**k Himself” . . . . Which he then proceeded to do.

its just a shit track, pure filler, nothing in it
