I missed it in Brooklyn. I had tickets, but I couldnāt fathom leaving the house due to the FUCKING TYPHOON that descended on the tri-state area that night. Very, very disappointed (altho I saw them maybe 100x in the 90s, so this isnāt a total loss).

Man I loooooved that āIn Cā album they did a few years back. Need to listen to the new one someday soon. They really have aged better sonically than a lot of their peers.

Iām kinda done with concerts. Iām very short and Iām starting to develop health problems that prohibit standing for a long period of time. Often I buy tickets and either donāt go or split during the opening act because I realize how much more comfortable Iād be at home. All to stand behind some schmuck filming the show for no good reason. (I often want to disrupt these peopleās bullshit by asking them, earnestly, if I could get sent a copy of the show, what the name of their Youtube channel is, have they done any other filming, what equipment are you using ā anything to keep them from āenjoyingā the show.)
Iāll still go for some of my favorites ā if Faith No More hits the US in '27, Iām going ā and concerts with seating are definitely more likely to get me to buy a ticket than SRO.

Thatā's an incredible lineup (the Acid Bath one). Iām dying to see AB, and they played here in NYC last week, but they played at one of the shittiest venues in Manhattan, so I skipped it. I kinda wish I had gone, but I know me, I wouldnāt have been able to see anything and I would have left (see my previous post lol).

Saw Down at the Royal Oak Music Theater on Saturday. ROMT is a fairly small venue and great place to see a show. Helmet and Spirit in the Room opened. Never heard of Spirit. SitR seemed a little out of place stylistically. They werenāt bad or anything just seemed like they didnāt belong. Helmet was good and well worth watching. Iāve seen them before and always felt the same - great band to see live. First time seeing Down and wasnāt disappointed and band was on point. Phil sounded good. If you get a chance to see Down on this tour, definitely go. I donāt go to many shows anymore, itās hard physically for me. I have back and knee troubles. Standing for long periods is difficult. However, I had a blast and was well worth the back pain. If Down is coming to your town, go. You wonāt be disappointed.
Saw Acid Bath live last year and they didnāt disappointā¦they were excellentā¦so definitely looking forward to seeing them againā¦especially on a bill like thisā¦
I had no idea Helmet were still a thing. I remember being in High School and college and seeing their band Ts around from time to time
Yeah, they play here a lot. A friend of mine really likes them and itās one of the few bands we agree on so we always go.

I picked up a used copy of their Betty album recently. I recall it being fairly popular back in the mid 90s. Iām digging it so far.
