I was playing around on Itunes today when I discovered “100 Gothic & Industrial Essentials for Vampires and Halloween”.
Ministry has a cover of “Sweet Dreams (are made of this)”
To my knowledge, this is the first of this song correct?
Yes, it is awful
The Razed in Black Remix of Every Day is on the 100 Halloween Classics which is a different collection.
I’m just pissed off and wondering what happened to the guy who wrote shit like “Flashback” - which is currently frying my ears. I don’t think there is a reason.
Jesus Christ, had the Manson cover not come out 15 years ago this might feel slightly interesting (maybe) but it did come out and Ministry is looking more and more third or fourth tier by this point. Sad, considering they were once the leaders. As a kid I would never have thought that Ministry would turn into the joke and Nine Inch Nails would be the one with a brilliant career path.
Why do you have to listen to it? It’s not like it gets played on the radio… or anywhere for that matter.
They pump it into my ears through secret satellite speakers that follow me throughout the day! Even my trusted tinfoil hat cannot keep the sounds out!!!
“Paranoid” and “Sweet Dreams”
are going to be on the Undercover album due out in December.
It’s just the “Greatest Tricks” album but with Paranoid and Sweet Dreams" added.
Maybe he sold the album to Cleopatra and the December album is going to be released under 13th planet. the only reason I can think to release it twice.

Al’s Holiday - Al Jourgenson performs the works of Billie Holiday
I would buy that.
I am now off to download these two (presumably crummy) new songs. Because apparently “the last sucker” is actually ME.
EDIT: I actually like Paranoid a lot! Probably the best of all these covers Al’s done in the last couple of years. Sweet Dreams is just silly - though it would be funny if that turned out to be one of the songs he sold to The Eurythmics back in the early days.
The “Sweet Dreams” cover sounds totally hilarious, I love it.
“Sweet Dreams” is attributed to the Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) digital EP on Cleopatra with covers by three other bands. According to Amazon’s track listings, neither of these new covers will appear on Undercover, but I suppose it’s still early enough for them to be mistaken about that. Maybe Undercover will be all new stuff…
I’ll have to rock it at home with my headphones on. I took just a little taste here at work and it was hilarious. Paranoid sounds like it might be interesting, although it sort of smells like Erie Load, and that’s not good for anyone.
hmm… the sweet dreams one doesnt sound all that bad. i mean… silly… but still, its an interesting approach. i just pre-ordered the triptykon EP so i have a free dollar to spend at the amazon mp3 market… i am thinking this might be where it goes…
