Is ANYONE going to the Relapse tour?

I got no response on my rally call for LA, so I was just curious if anyone here (that cares to admit it) is going to catch any of the stops of this tour.

they’re playing 2 clubs in russia, moscow and st. petersburg. had it happen on 2003 tour i’d be all over it. now i dont even think of a remote faint reason to see them.

I am, but in Ireland, i’m afraid.

Are they playing Dublin again? If my travel schedule didn’t make it impossible I’d love to come over and help lead another invasion of the Bleeding Horse.

Ha, indeed, that was a nice bar. Yeah, they’re playing Belfast and Dublin this time, but i’ve no idea how well it’s selling, in all honesty. It’s a different venue this time though, not sure how near that boozer it is, they’re in Vicar Street this time. I haven’t been there, but my rationale is if it’s good enough for Neil Young to release a Live from Vicar Street album it must be ok.

Going to the LA show, I’ll see you there.

Awesome! We’ll be violating the Yard House before the show. I don’t know what time the show ends but we’ll find some place to terrorize post-gig too.

I’ll be at the NYC show…

The Bleeding Horse?! Jesus lads, there’s better than that.

Was in Vicar st. tonight catching the awesome Therapy (‘Supermanic Soul’ is a rip off of Therapy’s ‘Knives’). It’s a great venue but my guess is it’ll be too big for current Ministry, ie. a lot of empty space. They’d be better off in the Button Factory (formerly TBMC) where they played in '03. That venue was perfect for them then and that’s when they were good!

If ye lads are hitting Dublin for a Ministry gig (don’t even know when they’re playing here… they had a poster up on a wall some weeks ago but it was ripped down/replace with an Andrew WK poster… makes sense) let me know and I’ll catch a few with ye (in better pubs than the Bleeding Horse!)

They aren’t touring Canada, so no.

Bahhh! I wasn’t there to review bars. It just happened that this place was right by the concert venue so we (about 15-20 of us in total) made it home base and lived in there before and after the shows. I liked it. There was plenty of space (except for Al, hahaha!!!) for us to have a big posse and we just kind of took over the joint. Good times!

Next time I hit Dublin I’ll hit you up. You can tell me where I SHOULD be drinking. Cheers!

first post, lurking for years
driving to the L.A. show from san diego, and taking another gamble at the set list like i did in CU LaTour.
definitely looking for a place to drink and get my hopes up before the show.

im hoping someone throws another shoe at Al.

Excellent! We’ll be glad to have you, Sir/Madam/other! I was at the San Diego show for the CU LA Tour, by the way. I don’t remember the shoe. Maybe that was during the set of cover songs he closed with while I was busy hanging outside and not giving a crap.

sir drew.
yeah the first shoe was durring the middle of the show, afterwards he was making fun of the guy for only throwing one shoe, throws it back, then comes the other grazing his hand.

yeah durring the covers my attention span shot to nill, and I just started looking around at the crowd for the rest of the show.

I love Chicago.

Don’t worry, Zick. We explored several other places around Dublin. As Gunnar stated, the Bleeding Horse was conveniently located next door to the hotel the band was staying at, a block from the venue, and a block from the hotel where most of us were staying. Their beef casserole was pretty tasty and cost effective also (Euro to dollar conversion = a hard hit to the old pocketbook).

I want to see a set list before I commit to anything.

What’s with getting all anal about the setlist, Grumps? You have Greatest Tricks and the Christmas Album for crying out loud. When did you get all ISO 9000 on the quality control?

Quit being such a bitch and buy a ticket so you can eat some pre-show bacon with Uncle Gunnar and then get rotten in the pit.

Egh, collecting and wasting time are two different things. besides it’s easier to throw away 10 bucks than it is 50.

i don’t even know when it is. The Mrs. will wanna go and now were up to 100 bucks rather than 50 I don’t know… I’ll sleep on it.
