In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up

looks like one of my seller friends from france is going to be the 1st to offer this on dvd and blu ray.

this will have english audio as well.

blu ray will feature dts master audio.

this isnt a boot like the jap (i think jap) laser disc thats going around ebay. ive yet to see my 1st boot on blu ray…

i’ll post item #'s and seller link after i get mine.

blu ray is going for 29.99 ( at least thats what he charged me with u.s. dollars) could be more after the offfical listing which states a release date of 3/30/10.

the copy im getting is his own promo blu ray copy that he recieved, supposed to be complete with case, cover, ect.

Interesting… hopefully this will be a quality release. I don’t know anything about japanese bootleg laserdiscs, but there was an actual laserdisc released back then. I remember looking at it at a Camelot music at the mall, but I didn’t pick it up because I already had the VHS.

The Laser Disc is not a boot. It was manufactured by Warner Bros.
LOL, They sell laser disc recorders? where can I buy my bundle of blank laser discs?

I’d be willing to bet your copy of “In case” is going to be a a laser disc rip that’s been put on a blue ray disc… 30 bucks? ripped off!

probably be ripped the from the laser disc rip iso put up on the torrents a while back. Only a pot head would fall for something as silly as that… … … oh, yeah, right!

blu ray boot…havent seen one yet!

laserdisc, cd, dvd, vhs, 3in mini cd, games…i have seen all of these formats booted.

and bootlegs also rest in the racks of camalot and many many other retailers.

as far as me listing the seller info and item number…we’ll see!

everyone hates a smartass, he may have cost you this one!

oh yeah…late bruh.

you know this is the absolute best live version of theives i’ve heardat least played by less than 9 people kinda makes me wish i would have gone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgwbuWzdULg my only complaint would be all the echo on the xerox machine sample bit’s, but the drumming makes it worth it

your laserdisc is a vhs source, thats obvious from all the past post’s.

what other source do you think there is? isnt this where you start a rant about “master tapes” (which dont exsist in this case)…that show was shot on vhs, did you forget…or not know…poor uninformed across your forehead…!

so, your the one mis repping vhs for a true digital soruce.

blu ray is pure …some laserdisc thingy is just a prop compared to what will be out there soon enough if you can find it without me.

vhs is the only source that exsists out there for this release.

just like metallicas cliff em all which is also available on laserdisc…vhs source.

If VHS is the only source for this release… then whats the point of getting it on Blu-Ray if it’s using the same source again?

Surely there are Blu-ray boots… there are blu-ray burners, and there are blank discs available…
I havent seen any either… but surely someone in the world has started to use them, maybe not commercially yet.

lol @ blank laser discs… imagine carting a spindle of 50 blank LDs home…

Bootlegs in retails stores… I’ll agree somewhat… I have seen all these RCHP and NIN and Nirvana “Broadcast Archives” DVDs in big chains here, which appear to be compliations of pro-shot single performances… but they dont say where from… ie. the nin one could just be a copy of woodstock '94 based on the cover, but it doesnt say… I wonder where they get the rights for this stuff… or the box sets of spooky kids demos… or old Hendrix demos etc. they are not quite boots, but not “official”… they kinda fall inbetween for me.

because the bluray will have dts master audio, so expect the sound to be remastered from the vhs source, as far as the vid portion goes…we’ll see. er i mean i’ll see and let you know.

theres only 1 format i haven’t seen booted…remember the rca selectavision?

the thing was all plastic…even the stylist.

How about Betamax?

Seriously, though, does anyone know who has the rights to the ICYDFLSU stuff? I’d be hopeful, actually, if Al and Angie actually owned it. I’m thinking they might soon be hard up enough for some income that they’d swallow their pride and think about some reissues (stuff that people actually WANT to hear) to pay the rent. Otherwise, they might start having to drink wine out of a box.

betamax=booted

From what I remember Al recently talked about re-releasing his back catalog and when I talked to whoever was in charge of the merch section at the Seattle RevCo show he talked about it too. If 13th Planet starts to go under from all of these recent events, they could release stuff like ICYDFLSU and other oldies to keep them afloat. Let’s hope. Interesting on the Blu-Ray, and that’s a good point to bring up that no bootleg Blu-Rays have appeared yet. I wonder who’s distributing it.

Keep us updated.

PS: Anyone know how I can fix my sig?

unless Al gets a sudden influx on money to buy back the masters/rights to all the old albums from sire/warner brothers i doubt he’ll be releasing anything… i mean rantology was the best he could do before, and i think he had a little bit more money to throw around at the time.

and just out of curiousity if your source is a vhs, hoe can you get dts sound from that for the blue-ray?

blu ray will feature dts master audio.

.

why are you re-mastering dts on a digital audio laser disc?

This was like the Sphinctour dual disc (“we have faithfully recorded concerts on DAT [2 channel 48Khz/16/bit”] and packaged them on sparkling high-resolution 96Khz/24bit 5.1 milti-channel sound DVD-Audio. What we heard is what you get.") Not really.

first off–how many people actually use, or even have, a dts decoder?

I’ll tell you another thing: I am fucking lucky enough to get my pre/pre to give me 96KHz/24bit from Sphinctour DVD-Audio.

Many DVD’s are encrypted to prevented high-resolution transfer *as in 48K is max.

secondly, why not just record the digital audio bit for bit?

or if you’re going to microscope a sound source, why not go all the way and use DSD mastering? 2.9 mil samples/sec

what other source do you think there is? isnt this where you start a rant about “master tapes” (which dont exsist in this case)…

and you know this because…?
tell you what, you watch the ld rip or even the ld, if you can find one, and then watch the vhs and you tell me which picture is more crisp.
now I know things are already blurry in your bong resined eyeballs but even you will see the difference in the picture.

i cant believe you cant comprehend the vhs to digital conversion, of course the ld will look better, its still a vhs source, not to mention the wally world vcr you were using.
my bluray will sound superior to any other version youve seen, the video portion will be cleaned up as well im sure…we’ll…i mean i’ll see.

you’re all about blu-ray richiee. In a recent al interview he claims that he now owns the whole warner/sire discog. he mentioned re-releasing it all with goodies

I can’t believe you haven’t seen the crappy blu ray releases out of Canada and Japan that are just the DVD releases put on a Blue ray disc. see the the non dutch version of SE7EN. it’s crap, visually and auditory .
