I don’t like it - I think it’s a bad Nitzer Ebb meets (old) Front 242 ripoff with lyrics that are trying too hard to be funny. Not the Revco I know.

besides, i also heard “hookerbot3000” and “cousins revolting”, it’s on the new 13th planet sampler. all three tracks are typical butt-rock a la “cover up” and “cocked and loaded”.
i honestly don’t see how people can say that this nu-revco “keeps the revco tradition” (and how can al rate “cocked and loaded” as his best album ever too) so what if it’s a “revolving door of musicians”, if the result is pretty mediocre at best?

I like it a lot because it is more of an industrial/dance direction, and it was looking doubtful that we’d see any more of that from Al. Cocked and Loaded just wasn’t Revolting Cocks. When they played this at the show everyone was into it and asking who it was.
I hope the rest of the album is more in the vein of this song.
Hmmm… while it certainly sounds better than the god-awful guitar-driven shit-storm that was Cocked & Loaded, it still sounds very derivative and weak. And I agree with Afra that it’s trying way too hard to be funny. Al sure thinks he is one witty bastard.

I haven’t heard “I’m not gay” and don’t hav access to You tube right now but I will check it out. As far as "Hookerbot and “Cousins Revolting.” Sign me up for the favorable opinion side. I think those two songs are closer to “normal” Revco than Cocked and loaded songs were.

The Jello songs on Cocked And loaded are cool!
i like it… i like the dance feel. but is it just me - or are these vocals just SCREAMING to be some Connelly squawking. i mean honestly… sounds to me like he’s even enunciating like chris. the “tired of being a homo” (chorus) part doesn’t fit - to me. Sounds like he’s about to go into a bush rant. But all in all – I like it.
I get the feeling that Clayton/Josh/Sin wrote the dancey, verse parts and Al came in and wrote the shouty, chorus parts.
I could be way off base, but that’s how it sounds to me.
I still like it. So far the 3 tunes are far better than C&L. Sounds like Josh on lead, AL sings the chorus…I’m not gay sounds like Luc (even if he’s not involved). Also, No devotion tease in the beginning.

maybe they should have called it I’m Not Connelly
sounds like a darker sound than normally goes with revco… still a better direction than C&L. sounds KMFDMish. a drug against war comes to mind…
