That makes me laugh every time, what a film. I was never able to see Enter The Dragon in the same way after i saw A Fistful of Yen. The whole film is great, but i especially loved Fistful of Yen.
And the plot thickens. . . from Aaron Rossi’s (current drummer for Ministry) FB page:
(RE: release of With Sympathy era track “I’ll Do Anything For You”)
“Check this out!! I re-worked an old pop song with Al that he wrote when I was 3!! I programmed a new drum beat, played keyboards, and whistled for 13 tracks haha. Re-Mixed by the awesome Sammy D’Ambruoso!! The song is about being in military boot camp!! I sing this song to my Son Remo ENJOY!! FREE DOWNLOAD!!”
Well, I thought I had some new info for you guys, but then when I pulled this thread I found Acid Cripple’s post. Anywho, yesterday, Aaron posted on FB about this song again and I inquired about the details:
Aaron Rossi: I had the honor of working with Al bringing this old Ministry song back to life!! I programmed the drums, played keyboards, and recorded 13 tracks of whistling. ENJOY!!
“I’ll Do Anything For You”
Twerk4Love: Right on, man. Really dig that song. Didn’t know new instrumentation was added. Did Al cut any new vox?
Aaron Rossi: Al re-recorded his vocal track in one take!! So you can hear Al’s original and new vocal tracks. He still had it memorized since the early 80’s. I believe he wrote this in 1982 and found it on a cassette tape demo. You can hear the original music at the beginning and end of the song. We basically recorded on top of the demo tape which is why there is minor latency. The song is about being in military boot camp and is directed to a Sargeant, but relates it to love.
Cool info! Thanks for posting. Glad to hear that what everyone thought is finally confirmed.
I’d love to hear the unaltered demo.
It’s about military boot camp? Who would’ve thought?

Does this song come as a free download after paying $4000 enlisting fee?

What does al know about military boot camp?

Does that count?

Of course it counts! Also with all their stock video footage of armies marching, bombs dropping, and tanks busting out walls, and all the sound bite samples from “Platoon”, “Full Metal Jacket”, and “Apocalypse Now” Al has more than proved his military credentials.
He’s been there. Done that. So, no, there’s no difference between a combat Marine and Al Jourgensen.
Give the man a Purple Heart, I say!

I had the pleasure of attending Navy boot at Great Lakes in the winter. I vote ‘No’.

I was supposed to go there but they switched me to Orlando about an hour before I was supposed to go to the airport. What was your rate?[/reply]
AT. You?

Ah yea, I remember you telling me that before now. I was a nuke ET.[/reply]
Then I probably also mentioned that I was offered nuke school, but would have had to sign up for 6. As it was, I only did 2 years + A school length (4 months) and was out before I turned 20. Were you in the Silent Service?

What this really means is this:
Modern day Uncle Al had to sit down at the mic in the studio and dust off his long-scorned faux British accent just for the sake of this re-recording.
Just picture that for a minute.
“ANYTHING FOAH YOU!!”
It warms my heart, truly.

I thought his shirt said “Will SIGN With Sympathy for $1000” but perhaps ‘sign’ was a typo.
Throw some lettuce at him and he’ll sing it too.

I’d actually part with some hard-earned greens to see that. Not sure about a thousand of them, though. Maybe I could do a Kickstarter for it…
