I respect everyone’s opinions, but I really don’t understand how anyone could rate TLS as anything but the absolute worst of the worst. In my mind it belongs in the scrap pile with all the recent butt-rock cover albums and remixxxo el bullshitto albums. At least With Sympathy is historically interesting! At least no one rated it better than a classic like LORAH…
oh wait, Grumpysmurf hasn’t chimed in yet
(sound effect of a crack-rock roasting in a glass pipe)
I like Last Sucker better than Rio Grande Blood. They’re both weak, though.
And I never put LORAH or TMIATTTT on my lists because the live versions of the songs on ICYDFLSU lay waste to the cold studio tracks.
Most people think I’m a heretic but I eventually just sold back my copies of “LORAH” and “TMIATTTT” because I never listened to them and when I would try I’d just find the tracks felt dead to me.
Here is my favorite to least favorite 1 being fav. and so fourth…
1 With Sympathy
2 Twitch
3 The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste
4 The Land Of Rape and Honey
5 Dark Side Of the Spoon
6 Filth Pig
7 Psalm 69
8 The Last Sucker
9 RGB
10 Houses Of the Mole
11 Animositisomina

As a fan of early Slayer I kinda liked some of RGB’s guitar riffs. Everything on TLS just sounds so half-assed to me, but I would agree they are both very weak albums.

I would agree with you when it comes to the guitar based songs like Missing/Deity/Thieves etc but I think some of the disco-death sounding songs like So What/Golden dawn/you know what you are sound really nice and clear on CD.

There is certainly a charm to live recordings and I see where you are coming from, I would have hung on to those albums for the songs that weren’t played live though.
Been a while since I’ve listened to much Ministry save the '96-03 noise, but whatev.
DSOTS
Twitch
Animositisomina
Filth Pig
Rape & Honey
Mind
69
With Sympathy
Houses
RGB
Last Sucker
DSOTS is in a class of its own. Twitch through WS tend to jump order depending on my mood. Houses is decent. RGB has some GREAT stuff, but half of the album sucks. Sucker… sucks more. I think “Die in a Crash” is the only good thing on there, but what do I know, I don’t even have a copy.
