How To Destroy Angels (NIN Related)

The 30 second clip sounds cool. I know a lot of people may moan about Reznor working with his wife but I’ve worked with my wife and it’s gone really well, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.

I’d be interested to see how this turns out. It sounds just like NIN from that clip. I’d wonder just how much influence his wife would have in the whole thing. Will he handle most of the music and she handle the vox, or mix it up more? This could be cool and I wouldn’t entertain any crap about it being “uncool” to work with his wife or whatever. The artwork on their facebook page looks very like NINsy too.

Thanks for the link, didn’t even know this was in the pipeline. I was hoping Trent would move into film/tv scoring as his instrumental work so far indicates his aptitude for it.

Yeah, sounds just like NIN.
Which is fine by me. At least Mrs. Reznor isn’t the new manager who doesn’t really know what she’s doing…

Yeah Wives don’t always ruin things. My Missus really likes “The Evens” which is Ian McKay and his wife.
I think they’re so so.

is that you al…?

The clip sounds cool, and it looks like Mariqueen will at least be performing some of the music. Reznor needs to keep his momentum going with his post-NIN music otherwise in a few years we’ll probably see them make a return sort of like Smashing Pumpkins did.

Although on the NIN front it would be interesting if that Year Zero tv series was finally made.

Sounds like some good NIN too. Got me interested.

Not quite a jourgensen, but I could do without that wife also. Haven’t heard the sample yet, but anxious to check it out.

KMFDM hasn’t been the same since Sascha hooked up with that chick.

That. She can do some decent songs every now and then, but she’s been shoved down our throats since 2000.

Speaking of wifes making music with rocker hubbies (in this case ex bf), did anyone check out Sow’s new record? I really wish S.K. and Ray ‘pig’ would work together again he is one of the best part’s of new-kmfdm!

That, or convince Skold to rejoin full-time. Lucia basically replaced Watts and Skold. I don’t expect Watts to, but Skold’s already co-producing the albums again and contributing, just not singing or touring.

I’m curious to hear this one though. Not all husband/wife combos can be horrible, right?

I’m puzzed?

I thought Trent Reznor was married to Saul Williams?

I recently read that Saul’s wife was in an Industrial Metal band so just assumed it was Trent.

I thought Trent Reznor WAS Saul Williams.

Impossible, I saw them onstage together.

They played one of the dullest songs from Saul’s album. What were they thinking?

There’s whispers about of Sascha working with more guest musicians on the next KMFDM album as well as a recent interview indicating that it will be slightly longer before we hear a new one (the recent Krieg remix release as a stop-gap for fans). Personally if this means more stylistic variety, I’m all for it, I just wonder if it means no tour? It would take a lot of effort to get everyone on stage again, even if it’s just Skold rejoining full time or another Ogre appearance.

If it takes longer for a quality album, then it’s fine by me. Depends on the “guests” though. If they do something like Day of Light, then i’m not against it at all. Very old school kmfdm there. I wish they’d be able to get Raymond back though, but if anything it’d be someone like the guy from combichrist and so on.
