Ho))))ly Shit

Ah, wikkkkid sikkkk, ULEH! [laugh]

I like anything involving these people:

Scott Walker, Jeff Buckley, GG Allin (mainly early shit and Murder Junkies material), Monte Cazazza, Genesis P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV), Aphex Twin, Immortal Technique, Stephen O’Malley (sunno))), burning witch, khanate), Miles Davis (bitches brew is a plus), John Zorn (nekkid city and children’s songs  ), Attila Csihar (old tormentor songs and all work with mayhem), Tim Buckley, Robert Fripp (only K.C, his soundscapes are a crock), Dean Martin, Nat King Cole (instrumental trio shit is amazing) and James Plotkin (Phantomsmasher, OLD, Khanate, can’t go wrong… new band sounds sick also)… in terms of classical, Debussy (solo piano works only really), Beethoven, Prokofiev (love other Russians as well, Rachmaninov) and Grainger.

I like all music. I hate people who answer that when you ask em what they like, but… I genuinely do… best I can say is what I’m currently diggin

So… that would be Mayhem, Venetian Snares (genuinely scared of Mssr. Funk), Necro, Khanate, The Bird and the Bee, Revolting Cocks and Immortal Technique…

and lovin black and doom metal. Shit yeah. [:)]

Excellent - some choice stuff there. I was actually quite impressed…

Scott Walker is a must BTW as is Khanate and Zorn. I have quite a few Plotkin albums.

Aphex Twin I’ve been listening to since the mid nineties - and still going strong.

Personal faves:

Coil, Led Zeppelin, Sunn O))), Scott Walker, Swans, Nico, Tool, John Zorn, Brian Eno, Butthole Surfers, Jesu, Napalm Death, Current 93, Whitehouse, MB, Acid Mothers Temple, Merzbow, The Birthday Party, Aphex Twin, Jim O’Rourke, Scorn, Nurse With Wound, Corrupted, Nordvargr, Burzum, Leviathan, Kraftwerk, Throbbing Gristle, The Boredoms, Autechre, Melvins, Animal Collective, Mr Bungle, Pink Floyd, Einsturzende Neubauten, Angels Of Light, Daniel Menche, XTC, Black Flag, Christian Fennesz, Immortal, Ulver, Blue Cheer…

Damn. Your list reminded me… how I could I have forgotten to mention:

Coil (cover of tainted love is gold), Led Zeppelin, Butthole Surfers, Jesu (tho Godflesh is better, I find it less repetitive for some reason), Napalm Death (FETO and Scum are the only worthwhile releases, ignored everything else but those two albums make them worth it), Current 93 (don’t know enough of shamefully), Merzbow, The Birthday Party, Corrupted (ditto), Burzum (there’s a lot of sifting through chaff to get to the wheat with this, but when it’s good, SHIT yes), Melvins (saw em live at Ding Dong Lounge, yeeeehaw!), Pink Floyd, Einsturzende Neubauten, Black Flag, Christian Fennesz, Immortal, Ulver (like what of heard of the last four, haven’t delved as deeply as I should have…)

If you use messenger, mine is dazed_42@hotmail.com . It tends to be a welcome distraction from study. [laugh]

Napalm Death (FETO and Scum are the only worthwhile releases, ignored everything else but those two albums make them worth it)

Surely you kid? Those two albums are good but just the beginning.

Check out ‘Smear Campaign’.

Current 93 (don’t know enough of shamefully)

They’re a hard act to appreciate. Difficult to get into but well worth the effort.

Check out ‘In Menstrual Night’.

I shall, thanks for both of those [cool]

Current 93 is one of my top 5 all time bands.
If you need any advice in that direction, let me know.
