Here We Go Again.....Another School Shooting

The NRA will say those 100 died cause they didn’t have guns on them!!

Gun violence is everywhere in this country, but more common in some places than others. The higher concentrations of people the more likely.

What is/are the root cause(s)? Take that away, and this stops.
Drugs, robbery, mental illness, domestic violence, anger issues, bullying, jealousy, threatening people’s jobs, etc.

That’s a tall order to fill in eliminating all of those things. Therefore, what can be realistically accomplished in a short amount of time?

Make it tougher to buy guns: psychological profile for gun ownership, all weapons in a safe with a trigger lock, waiting period for gun show purchases, if used in a crime-owner is responsible for not keeping gun secured, all legal weapons registered in database, mandatory permits, mandatory training, licenses, etc.

And get all the illegal weapons off the streets by check points, etc.

Anyone caught violating the rules or committing a crime with a gun, gets a harsh automatic sentence.

Violence and mental illness history carries over from juvenile record into adulthood vs being sealed, etc.

So it looks like this gun control that Obama had promised has completely caved in?

Oh well. So much for all that huffing and puffing. And life in America continues as normal…

“Huffing and puffing” from who? And I wouldn’t even call it “gun control”. I don’t understand why the stupid bastards voted against it.

The NRA lobbyists didn’t want it too pass. our politicians work for lobbyists not for us.

Makes you wonder who is really running the place over there.

How the fuck could they not pass this? On what grounds?

They’re screaming that it would infringe on the 2nd amendment. Which it does not. Which if they took the time to read the WHOLE 2nd amendment and not select parts. the thing is outdated and needs to be amended.

Just a little while ago, I saw a video about some radio show in which one of the two hosts decided to go on a rant about how 20 dead children and other victims have no reason to “take away” his liberty to own a gun. He might as well have said “fuck your dead children. This is liberty!”.

All people want, or wanted are stricter background checks. No one said anything about taking away guns. Some NRA cronies decide that even a background check is ludicrous. These same cocksuckers, which in 1999, SUPPORTED background checks. There’s a video out there from 99 in which Wayne LaPierre says it. Today, he’s completely 180 from that and somehow it violates the second amendment, which it doesn’t.

And another thing to consider. The second amendment was conceived in a time when we were still using muskets. No way back in 1776 would they have predicted some lunatic running into their school, or a movie theatre, and go on a killing rampage.

I think the senate made this thing get even uglier than it anyone could ever have imagined. Probably not. These people are immoral bloodsuckers. This is going to really bite them in the ass. Especially, when the bill was already neutered and watered down. And even after all that, why reject a bill you spent so much time butchering? You succeeded. Harry Reid fucking gave them gold and silver platters. But they turned it down anyway.

I’ll be enjoying the shitstorm from this. This isn’t something that’s going to just “go away”. Especially not now. They blew the door wide open with this one.

That right there should be enough to take his stupid gun away. He’s obviously not of sound mind.

That’s what they did with the Affordable Care Act and now they all bitch about how shitty it is.

Well, If our “Liberal Media” has the balls to keep it out there. But, I imagine it will be old news in 2 weeks. besides, we need guns to keep us safe from boston marathon bombers!

And these are the same groups who protest loudly about “sex offenders” and so forth and how we must remain vigilant to protect our children from the actions of these beasts.

Call me strange if you like, but an isolated teen with an axe to grind could do a lot more harm with an automatic weapon than he could with his, er, cock.

And why the hell do you need an automatic weapon anyway? When are you going to need to use a weapon that can fire off fifty bullets less than a minute? What situation are you going to find yourself in, say, walking through suburban America, where you suddenly realise you need an automatic weapon?

You can’t use an automatic anyway. If someone breaks into your house and you kill them with an automatic weapon you will do minimum of five years for manslaughter.

So why should the public have access to something they cannot legally use to defend themselves with?

That is a strange rational. But I see your point

These nimrods think that their Automatic weapon is going to bring down the government when it gets too tyrannical. As if their little pea shooters (combined) would do anything against one US Army Tank. “We the people have a right to revolt when we don’t like our gubment and these guns are gonna help us do just that.” Is how most of their Mantras go.

It may vary from state to state (but I don’t think so) but if someone breaks into your house you can kill them if you’re in fear for your life. (and who wouldn’t be.) I don’t think the type of gun matters as long as it’s not a banned gun (if we have any of those anymore)

This bill and “obamacare” are pretty similar. The “conservatives” were against them for almost identical reasons. One, they were protecting the insurance companies. And the second, gun manufacturers. Unfortunately, corporate interests and lobbyists run this country. But, if enough people are genuinely pissed off. I’m sure it could get some coverage, hopefully.

People need to organize.

Wait, I stand corrected. Apparently there is a gunman on the loose at Boston University:

http://au.news.yahoo.com/world/a/-/world/16803230/gunman-loose-boston-university/

Alright, fair enough. In this situation an assault rifle would come in handy. Where are all the assault rifles when you need them dammit!?!

Well, that didn’t take long…

No way back in 1776 would they have predicted some lunatic running into their school, or a movie theatre, and go on a killing rampage.

That’s because the people that wrote these things were Scholars writing these laws for other educated people. Obviously the cave men of our day (way more than scholars it would seem lately) don’t understand this. Obviously the framers fell very short sighted when they expected education to improve with the country as time went on. Not their fault, really.

No, not at all their faults. No way you can foresee hundreds of years later that companies would control everything. And their ideas of democracy would become an unrecognizable bastard child.

Well thank gawd we’re all safer with that gun man on the loose! He’s obviously protecting us from anymore backpack bombs. I for one would like to thank him for providing his services! See? that’s what America is all about people helping each other out. no one probably asked that guy to go on patrol he probably just did it on his own. He’s a go getter. As a matter of fact I read he already got a cop…

I think the framers would be appalled and call our economic system what it is: Tyranny. Or at the very least feudalism. They were all about business and individuals back then because nobody and nothing was bigger than the government. But for the last 100 years that hasn’t been so and now companies are more powerful and more invasive than the government. We’re not a free country We are slaves to the dollar. you don’t have money, you are not free to do what you want or get what you need.

What the hell is going on? I hear reports of bombs going off? And a police officer being killed? I am also hearing conflicting information regarding one of the marathon bombers being taken into custody?

It just seems like a very confusing situation. Is this new situation linked to the Boston bombing?

Fucked up! It looks like total chaos…

Edit:

OK. Found this:

Here’s what we know so far.
•A policeman was shot and killed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a university within walking distance of this week’s Boston marathon bombings
•Suspects armed with grenades and firearms are understood to have then commandeered an SUV
•A wild police chase followed from the university to the nearby suburb of Watertown
•Gunfire and a series of explosions were heard by residents
•It is believed suspects were carrying firearms and homemade explosives
•State police said suspects were throwing grenades out of the stolen vehicle.
•It is understood there are at least two suspects
•One suspect was stripped naked and taken into custody and has now been released
•Another was on the ground surrounded by police
•Soldiers from the National Guard, the FBI, state and local police are on the scene.

^ It was the two dipshits who bombed the marathon. They’re brothers. Black hat guy died and white hat guy is still at large and obviously extremely dangerous. An officer was killed.
