Awful album title. Let’s see if they can redeem themselves from ‘Mythmaker’

aw, i actually loved that album. not as good as Greater, but still i loved it… im digging this new-puppy thing since the reformation. sounds like better versions of the ohgr solo stuff. haha.
though to be fair, devil was a slaying album…
Looks like fall’s going to be a good time of year for classic industrial artists with Skinny Puppy and Buck Satan coming out and, I assume, Reznor’s “Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” soundtrack.

That’s an album you have to experience live.
I liked mythmaker too.
I’ve actually liked every skinny puppy album (although rabies didn’t have as much staying power as the rest… that one is my least favourite, but it’s still not bad). I’ve enjoyed both of the post-reunion puppy albums, they’re different, but still cool.
Put me down for being in favour of Mythmaker also. The middle section of that album is some of my favorite electro/industrial music of all time. Well…at least in the past 20 years. Obviously it doesn’t stack up against “classic” industrial.
The last Ohgr album didn’t really grow on me. It’s decent but not the standout career defining moment I was hoping for.
Big fan of post 2000 Puppy here!
mythmaker was meh…a few decent songs, but a few songs i HATE (ei Ugli).

And Ugli is one of those songs you gotta experience live. It’s not a very good album closer but it has so much more energy live. It was the second song in the set after Anger.
And I don’t understand the dislike towards Rabies. I kinda understand not liking the trax Al wasn’t involved (save for Worlock) but I loved his invovlement. Fascist Jock Itch is one of the heaviest songs they ever put out. Fucking awesome live too.
I almost threw Mythmaker out the car window after the first half. I had big hopes, but the Puppy I loved was not represented there. Way too much of that terrible vocal effect and nothing interesting musically.
Now the latest Ohgr album… that’s another story entirely. Hopefully Handover will be as good.
Most of you shit on Mythmaker but love Greater Wrong Of The Right. An album that sucked after I’mmortal. Thank god that was the only song they played from that album when I saw them in '07.
I was unaware Skinny Puppy released a bad album.
downsizer was awesome live …best track on GWOTR
Most of these samples aren’t long enough to form a valid opinion. But it does sound like there’s gonna be a few songs that are good. Gambatte sounds shitty though.
Doesn’t sound all that different from the last couple of albums. Like a cross between Mythmaker and Last Rights.
The longtime Skinny Puppy faithful probably won’t be too impressed.
Awful cover too.
Haven’t liked either of the last two puppy albums, myth maker reminded me of ohgr mixed with the last few brittany spears albums, only not that good.

I saw them live during the solventsee tour…and they played ugli. it sucked.
i LOVE rabies. tin omen is definitely one of my fav puppy songs.
Well Ugli didn’t suck in '07
Gambatte sounds pretty cool I think…
