I like Buzz personally more than I like the music of the Melvins. They’re kind of hit and miss with me and they’re one of those bands that I kind of wish I liked more because I really like their attitudes and independent spirit and I think Buzz is completely awesome. I’ve bumped into him a few times in Hollywood and I always bust his balls and he has a great sense of humor about it. I also think they have the coolest gig posters of any band.

But I wouldn’t consider myself a “fan”, per se. There’s tracks here and there that I really dig, but as a whole I don’t really connect with it. I do respect their passion and creativity, though, even if I’m not really digging it. Besides, Akbar is totally gay for them and it would break his wee little heart if I were to say something mean about them.
