Got Cock

This comes out tomorrow, right? Anyone here picking this one up? I’m debating.

That’s like tossing up whether or not to go to an abortion clinic for bad constipation.

I’m honestly surprised this never leaked. I’m curious to hear it but
don’t want to buy it.

Since I’m often accused on this board of being too pretty for my own good I guess I’ll pass on buying or even listening to anything called ‘Got Cock’.

I’ll buy it whenever it shows up at Best Buy. Which probably won’t be for several months based on prior 13th Planet releases.

I like new revco. I’ll probably pick it up if I run across it in store during one of my many media sprees.

Me too, although I may ebay it. I refuse to give any more money directly to Angie Jerkenson

Unless you know for sure that the musicians who worked on this album will get paid, I wouldn’t buy it. Can that be guaranteed? Some will like the album, that’s fine. I couldn’t be arsed.

i saw a clip of the ‘band’ playing Stainless Steel Providers live… and i refuse to pay anyone who sounds like that.

i didnt buy the last one i thought the songs i had heard stunk. so im surely not interested in this breakup album.

now the new PRONG… that i am excited for.

It leaked onto demons. That Trojan Horse song is even worse than I remembered it. I’ve only skipped through, but it’s certainly a heavier, more electronic “effort”.

I don’t even have any desire to check it out. That probably has more to do with me getting old, though.

you’re old!

I don’t know why, but that almost made me do a spit-take.

Anyway, I’ll probably listen to the album today on Lala and just get the disc (for the completist in me) at some point in the future.

OK, I’ve listened to it.

It’s not good.

Now, maybe it’ll be like Cocked & Loaded and I’ll learn to love it in spite of it’s suckiness. Or maybe it’ll be like Cover Up and I’ll never like it. We’ll see.

Either way, I can’t recommend it to anyone.

It’s most definitely a leftover from Sex-O. I thought Dykes was a little amuzing. Seemed like they wanted to sound like old revco. Much noticably Sin’s playing. Seems like he’s trying to be barker on a few tracks. I’m going to give it a shot. By about a week i’ll have a solid opinion. Some of the songs are certainly horrible though (trojan, senoritas).

Some of them were ALMOST good (Fuck Money springs to mind), but just didn’t quite click. I think Trojan would be a pretty tight tune if it was 3 minutes shorter.

Well if you don’t know for sure that they WON’T get paid you should buy if you like it!

Even though I’m pretty sure no one’s making money off it, I genuinely like the new Cocks, so I’m snaggin’ it.

I’ll more than make up for my betrayal by buying multiples of Capt. Bigshot’s debut, though.

I’ve heard it once so far… “Juice” is great, and “Fuck Money” is sort of good, but I don’t like the rest at all. Especially the worthless rap cover on the end. This is possibly their worst album.

On “Piss Army,” Josh specifically refers to Phildo as a founding member of RevCo. How’s that for an insult to the oldschool fans?

I listened to the 30 second clip of the new AJ track at the end of the Cocks album on iTunes, and it’s pretty cool kind of like a shouty version of “Soul Mining” era The The. Not going to buy “Got Cock” to get it though.

This cd isn’t for me. I agree Juice is probably the best effort.
