99 Scenes is reporting that the reunited Guns N’ Roses were in negotiations to play at the Amnesia Rockfest, arguably Quebec’s biggest music festival. Promoters couldn’t reach an agreement though, as they thought Guns N’ Roses were asking for too much money. The band’s asking price is reportedly 4 times more than what they’ve paid any other act. The festival paid System of a Down $2 million last year, so if this report is true, Guns N’ Roses wanted at least $8 million.

I read they wanted 3 million a show to do a football stadium tour

There are quite a few snakepit songs id like to hear axle sing. But i highly doubt Axl’s ego will let him sing anything other than gnr songs and any old school covers.
Not that it would EVER happen this way, but they could barter/trade a few song choices . . . . . Slash and the boys agree to do a few cuts from “Chinese Democracy” and Axl agrees to sing a Snakepit song or two . . .

When Eric Avery rejoined Jane’s Addiction for a minute, the deal was they didn’t have to play any of the tracks from the newer Jane’s albums recorded without him.

They should just do “Appetite” from start to finish and then take a bunch of choice cuts from Illusion I and II. “Patience” is a given for one of the ballads, of course, so no need to cry about “Lies” either.

Really? I don’t see that out of slash. I could see slash playing Chinese Democracy but not sticking to the shitty solos that were recorded. I could see Slash playing new solo’s over those songs.

one of the comments said somebody probably told Axl the show tapes at 4PM and not midnight. I laughed and then minutes later realized that’s probably literally what happened.
