Out of like 200 acts I only even recognize like 5.
If someone dragged me at gunpoint I’d rock out to The Damned, Ice Cube, and GnR . . . . and I guess I’d be trying to drink myself to death the other 600 hours of the show.

Ill miss coachella. i hate festivals. Although your link says sorum will be on drums, I’ve read its gonna be the current gnr drummer and richard fortus (current rhythm guitarist) will fill izzy’s spot. Supposedly new tracks too. And coachella is pretty far out back

Yeah, literally the only band on that bill that I would perhaps go see on their own would be The Damned (I would assume a smallish theatre and a $40 ticket) or GnR (if tickets were $50-$100).
Beyond that, like I noted, there are only like 3 or 4 acts that I even recognize.
I can’t say whether it’s bad organization or not. I have no idea what is popular these days and the demographic that this fest is marketed to obviously does NOT include “jaded 42 year old rocker”.
But, to a guy like me, this festival looks more like HELL than a good time.
I’d bet good money Slash has it in his deal–No Chinese Democracy.

I have a buddy who waited outside the troubadour thinking hed be able to buy an “extra ticket.” When he saw someone pony up 5k cash right there on the sidewalk for a ticket he knew he wasnt getting in. So hed figure hed hang out outside and listen to th band that way… Wrong again. He said he heard the first couple bass notes to its so easy and then that was it. The crowd was so loud it just overtook everything else.
Fuck yeah in less than a week!!!

They went on sale at the old tower record store at 6:30 am the day of. I heard the line stretched for miles. within minutes. So far I’ve seen a flyer for the show go for at least 117 dollars on ebay and a Medium tshirt for the show go for 96.00 ebay again.
Damn!!! That’s crazy!!!
