This is actually a really good idea, and also an excellent way to kill time before class.
Plus, listing your favorite things and then deeming everyone else’s favorite things as sucktastic garbage is the very ESSENCE of Prongs.
Favorites…
Book? Yeesh. Tough call between The Martian Chronicles and 1984. The Fountainhead is up there too (yeah, Ayn Rand is a flaming cunt, but that book did genuinely positive things to me).
Movie… Bill Plympton’s “Mutant Aliens.” Greatest fucking movie ever made.
Actor/actress? Hmmm. Christian Bale and Jennifer Tilly, respectively. One’s the biggest asshole ever, and the other is bangin’ HAWT.
Television would probably go to the Venture Bros. at the moment.
First concert I ever went to was ZZ Top when I was like five. Hell yes. Aside from local shows, there haven’t been any since.
I subsist on coffee, alcohol, cigarettes, throat lozenges, and menudo. Mmmm.
My first exposure to Ministry was back in '03, when my 14-year old self first heard either “Thieves” or “Burning Inside” and was blown away by the fact that techno and metal could exist side by side. I bought TMIATTTT and loved it throughout, which leads to my favorite Ministry moment…
… When I’d picked up the record, it was a very rare rainy day in my neck of the woods. (Southwest AZ, to be precise.) When I popped in the record, there was quite the storm raging outside. As the album approached the final two tracks, the storm seemed to die down a bit. As my (now) all-time favorite Ministry song ever started to play, the textures of the music seemed to mesh so well with the falling rain outside and the brief flashes of lightning that accompanied it, and I was absolutely transfixed by it all.
A soft rumble of thunder…
“Do you believe in angels?”
“… NO.”
I was fucking sold.
…
Good times.
Favorite artist/album: En Esch and his solo record “Cheesy.” Greatest album of all time. Prove me wrong.
[laugh]
The Toot actually made a movie of me that was hilarious and pretty dead-on. The only differences being that I have no clue who the fuck Nephilim is and I’m much blacker in person.
