Fire when ready.

wempethy I’d have to agree on pawn stars… i’m absolutely OBSESSED with that show for some reason… it’s just a shame that they already have that rip off show with the 2 douchebuckets that scavage through old hicks garages for junk like old buckets and bottles and light switches.

but it’s just funny sometimes to see how people have no clue what the hell they are selling is worth… and even when they find out it IS worth money, they think they’ll get top dollar for it and the bald guy has to explain economics to them. that musket they had like 2 weeks ago that had the pop out knife was fucking badass

wempethy I’d have to agree on pawn stars…

Is this like Antique Road Show but for white trash? I’ve never heard of this show.

Jesus! is that a line from Shawshank redemption? I never saw that movie, but I’d be terrified if some dude said that to me.

Yeah. Exactly my reaction grmps rofl. Good movie though

movie: Fuck how can you choose just one? (I guess this sentiment goes for every category though) Mulholland Drive is the first to come to mind as a definite masterpiece.

actor: Gary Oldman

actress: Charlize Theron

tv show: Twin Peaks or Star Trek TNG

first concert: Radiohead w/ Belly opening 93 or 94

fav concert: Leonard Cohen or Melvins… shit too fucking many…

fav food: Ethiopian food is my new favorite, sushi, chicago pizza (deep dish or thin crust cut into squares)

first ministry experience: Saw Just One Fix and NWO on MTV’s 120 minutes age 12… found their 12" single “Haloween” at a garage sale and bought it expecting industrial metal shit, was surprised to hear gay pop music. Perked my interest in the band even more though.

worst/best ministry experience: Best - Tripping balls to MIND, Worst - Listening to Last Sucker for the first time.

fav artist: What kind of artist? So goddamn many! What kind of art? Christ this question is just too broad…

I would be honored for the mention but worried “do I really suck?” hee hee

The answer to all these would be Fried Green Tomatoes.

Or if I was to be more specific:

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
Can’t go wrong with Kubrick, Herzog or Lynch (and the Coens when they’re on form)
Living: De Niro, Nicholson, Bale. Dead: Brando, Newman
Sigourney Weaver
The Wire, Sopranos, Deadwood, Futurama
Pearl Jam in 2000 (14 years old)
Ministry 2003, NIN last year was class
JBMHR (Redline Whiteline vers.) on the radio 1998
Best: seeing them live in '03, 1999 being completely dominated by their catalogue
Worst: ‘What a Wonderful World’
Ed Hopper, Francis Bacon, C.D. Friedrich, Edgar Degas

Not for white trash, per se, but certainly a broader variety of items and characters, some of who are more white trash…but most aren’t.

And while I haven’t seen an item on Pawn Stars that was worth more than around $10K the items tend to be a lot more interesting. And then there’s the deal, which ARS never gets to. On ARS they only appraise items, on Pawn Stars they haggle over the price and in some cases call in experts to help with the appraisal. The pawn shop itself is in Vegas and the guys who work there are all characters.

It’s kinda fun.

fav artist: Wempathy; just cause he is down to earth and worked for NASA

It doesn’t get more down to earth than this…taken last week on vacation.
