From Beer To Eternity cover revealed

I dislike post 2003 Ministry intensely. So I will express that opinion and express it vehemtly. Other board members are free to comment on that but it will not change the way I feel about Al and that defiant way he has crapped all over this one great band whether it’s “his” band or not.

I hate you so damn much for implying that the pre-2003 stuff was worthwhile. You are just a posing wanna be hater.

Ministry has ALWAYS sucked, and all of the true hardcore haters (like me) know this! From the Cold Life singles to that 10 second snippet on Youtube from the latest sessions, it’s all useless (no pun intented, although that and Stolen may be the only listenable tracks for obvious reasons).

If only you, Zick and Nick F could pull your heads out of your asses and realize this, you could move on with your lives.

I wish “Whole Lotta Glove” was the real cover. I like the title better (though it’s still silly) and the image is a nice bookend to “With Sympathy”.
Maybe I’ll print that image out and paste it onto my copy of “From Beer To Eternity”.

It’s a good joke and ironically a better pun than the final title.

Agreed. The “Beer” title was just . . . uggh. A little too Frat-Boy for my taste.

My observation was the Ministry camp is privy to every single piece of media and gets pointlessly reactionary (like us?).

Well, it’s a (sort of) Ministry forum and I think they’d rather read some of the open discussion on this board than the mindless dry-humping that takes place on the FiXXX Army or something (FB is a pretty unreadable format anyway). The forum is publicly accessible so I’m sure they peek in from time to time.

I just don’t know how appropriate assessing their joke as “pointlessly reactionary” is. They saw us making fun of the Spinal Tappishness of their latest release and served up some chuckles of their own.

I prefer the chicks in the net. I was hoping that glove photo was a joke but I guess not.

What the heck is wrong with you people today?

that’s actually a great cover.

Yeah, when paired with With Sympathy, those covers make nice bookends for the career of the band.

damn i like the whole lotta glove better…

We can now confirm that they read Prongs.

That was actually an article up on the A/V Club site. http://www.avclub.com/articles/whats-worse-the-title-of-the-new-ministry-album-or,99148/. It’s a pretty big site full on snarky pop-culture news articles. We here on Prongs are way less “big-time”. I’d highly doubt that they’ve ready anything on Prongs since Mrs Jay or whatever stopped posting almost 10 years ago.

Oh, okay. I guess it’s just a coincidence then (and not much of one considering it was really Spinal Tappish).

Either way, pretty funny stuff.

Whole Lotta Glove is pretty darn cool.

I vote for that too.

“You people”. It refers to the collective group of people who generally assemble here and read and comment on this forum. More specifically, it refers to the people that seem to need each and every post or comment explained and translated for them because they seemingly have trouble detecting sarcasm and comprehending the subtleties (or non-subtleties) of the written English language.

That’s a Tropic Thunder reference, man.

^Haha! My bad. I haven’t seem that movie.

Also, Me Myself and Irene, when he asks the black dwarf limo driver, “do you people take cheques” and the guy gets really offended, “You people?! You mean the black man?!”

Actually, I think it goes back to Ross Perot who was giving a speech to the NAACP or some other negro group during his campaign for presidency and at one point during his speech he referred to them as “you people”. It did not go over so well for him.

Yeah, it seems like a choice of words that makes it sound like whoever says it feels they’re superior to the people they’re addressing. Not great for a politician looking for support.

^Haha! My bad. I haven’t seem that movie.

Dude, you need to get on that pronto…one of the best comedies ever…
