Michael jackson dead
Yeah he’s cactus.
I KNEW he wasn’t going to do those London shows.
The bookies cleaned up with this one! I heard they’ve suspended betting on it.
He’s as white as he’ll ever be now.
Farrah was a looker in her day. She had a bad habit of going out with women beaters.
50 & 62 respectively. Too young.
Friend of mine texted me about jackson about an hour ago. Didn’t believe her. Looked it and saw that he was either dead or in a coma. Kinda weird. Hated his music and him, but he was pretty iconic. This is going to be a big deal for awhile.
Holy Shit!!
Michael Jackson is dead!!!
[:(]
and not a word about iran since this was announced.
and not a word about iran since this was announced.
Or Farrah… Her death is a pretty big deal, but only enough to be pushed aside for Jackson. Really saddening to see that all the coverage is all for MJ and hardly anything to nothing about Farrah.
Oh my God!!!
Michael Jackson realliy is…DEAD!!
Really saddening to see that all the coverage is all for MJ and hardly anything to nothing about Farrah.
thats cuz everyone knew farrah was on borrowed time. not really a shocker… sad but not shocking.
first ed mcmahon then farrah then mike!
cant wait to see what fox news will run this:
“parents, ok to let you guard down, the teflon molester is dead”
Late,
grmpysmrf
I’m so fucking crushed…
Heh, you know he’s just gonna come back from the dead and start busting a move.
But in all seriousness, FUCK.
it’s too bad.
i was in the eighth grade going on a fieldtrip with classmates in chicago. on the bus, we had a “poll” of who was soul brother number 1–JACKSON FIVE or james brown. i chose james brown. no slight to the jacksons, but it wasn’t the same feel.
i think michael jackson made a lot of people move off their asses and reconfigure the music business. quincy jones, etc.
the guy was a mess. but he knew how to make money. he also is famous for spending money.somebody on cnn last night compared his death to princess diana’s. that’s fucked up. she was not an entertainer. he was. he did a great job. i saw the jacksons victory tour at (the then) stadium in chicago, and it was one of the best shows i’ve seen.
say a little prayer for the boy from gary, indiana.
The man could bust a move. I’m a sucker for good pop music, and he really was “the king of pop”.
“Jackson founded the “Heal the World Foundation” in 1992. The charity organization brought underprivileged children to Jackson’s ranch, to go on theme park rides that Jackson had built on the property after he purchased it. The foundation also sent millions of dollars around the globe to help children threatened by war and disease. The Dangerous World Tour began on June 27, 1992, and finished on November 11, 1993. Jackson performed to 3.5 million people in 67 concerts. All profits from the concerts went to the “Heal the World Foundation”, raising millions of dollars in relief.[77][79] He sold the broadcast rights to his Dangerous world tour to HBO for $20 million, a record-breaking deal that still stands.[80] Following the illness and death of Ryan White, Jackson helped draw public attention to HIV/AIDS, something that was still controversial at the time. He publicly pleaded with the Clinton Administration at Bill Clinton’s Inaugural Gala to give more money to HIV/AIDS charities and research.[81][82]”
Just one example of the shit this guy did and what did america do
to say thanks?
Turned him into a child rapist.
Oh i wonder why his health was fucked. I wonder why his mind was lost.
Gee um. Oh, and now everyone’s sad. Fucking bastards…
Obviously prongs is above this… but the rest…
Fucking bastards Should all die.
chill ,brother merrick.
mj poured a ton of money into charity–and it dealt with kids. good for him. really. a lot of kids get zero.
his own life, as a kid, was fucked up.
how many people dig the idea of beatings by dad? not me. i went through it.
i think michael jackson did whatever he could to survive.
oddly enough, when i found out that jackson died, i couldn’t help but think, maybe he was hiv positive. maybe his karma thing kicked in finally, .
for many years because his health was declining… who knows. he did hang with the party peeps for a long time.
i don’t think anyone here discounts his contribution to music.
i DO think jackson knew it was his time to go.
Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958
Al Jourgensen was born on October 9, 1958 (according to wikipedia)
Two musical geniuses born just 40 days apart. 1958 was a good year.
MJ was one of the few ‘commercial’ pop icons that I wasn’t embarrassed to admit to loving.
Poor guy was so screwed up by fame he didn’t know if he was coming or going. Imagine how many bloodsucking leeches came out of the woodwork when Thriller hit it big. The guy stood no chance.
A real shame.
I attended one of the Victory Tour concerts in Philly in 1984. 100,000 people at JFK stadium. It was amazing - the sea of humanity at that show, and the $30 concert tickets were considered steep at the time.
MJ’s ability to cross-over distinct fan bases and musical genres was groundbreaking. Who else could get Eddie Van Halen to guest solo on what was considered an Pop/R&B album (at the time)? Or get Michael Jordan to appear in his music videos?
