Once again, the new track is blocked on MySpace in Canada. [mad]
I don’t see it either, and I’m in the States.

You have to go to the “albums” tab in the Myspace player.
Urg, music is ok in a Last Sucker type way I guess but Al really does sound like he phoned in those vocals from bed or something.
Best thing Al’s done since 03… And maybe you guys think it’s phoned in because he’s not screaming? Maybe he’s trying hard to not scream? heh. I like it.
That actually wasn’t too bad considering…though saying “best thing since '03” is a big stretch IMO considering there was some good material scattered amongst the shit esp. on ‘Houses’
I mean we all knew it was going to be a metal thrash buttrock version but I dunno the result was somehow more charming and enjoyable than I imagined so I just kind of let it slide and found myself enjoying it for what it was.
I guess the redeeming factor was he didn’t try to be so macho as to ruin it (for instance he retained the “mm bop mm bop bop”) and the guitar chords sound nice on the chorus. Also vox not as horrible as I pictured. Of course the original is superior though.
I like that Al is singing but I’ll pass on it. It’s to fast…bpm.
After listening to it a few times I like it for what it is. However those flange drums are the exact same from Stupidity, I guess he’s learning new tricks with digital equipment. The chorus is pretty cool and some of the guitar chords are pretty neat sounding… However, I’m still looking forward to the remixes that present the vocals in a more calm manner.
Might have exaggarated some. Not better than HOTM, but better than anything else after that, easily. Not a bold statement since the bar is considerably low. It’s not the greatest track in the world. But it easily overshadows anything he’s done after 04. Also like the fact that he decided to even revisit the song at all. Poppy Al > shitty redneck metal Al.
I don’t like it.
OK, now that I’ve listened to the whole thing, I have to say I agree with the majority of the posters here: I like the vox, not so much the music.
I still say if he’d played this live he’d have brought the house down, though.
It is encouraging to see Al address this part of his career. It is discouraging to see him pull a stunt like this with a classic song like Halloween. This song to me sounds like little or no effort was put into the re-recording.
The silence out of the Ministry Camp on this is amazing. No recognition or explanation on it at all.
Bizarre

same with the mole MIXXX or w.e
wonder what the hell is going on over there.
Very silent, indeed. Still wonder what the deal is with that solo album.
I think something just went down with RevCo that completely contradicts all of their 5 year plan deal talk. But last I remember there was his solo album, Joey vs. Al, a new Lard CD, and it goes on.
I’m guessing they’re trying to get a good story for the whole RevCo situation.
Right. But it’s been ages since we heard anything about these. Lard and jordison were only references. After the preview for voices in my head, it was just silence with random releases thrown out without any real promotion or anything.

what’s going on with that? last i heard the guys split and formed their own band (forget the name) and that al was going to bring in the guys from blownload? has anyone even listened to “got cock?”? i downloaded it, but i’ve yet to listen…
RevCo became Capt. BigShot a while after their tour, I think they knew what was coming and that’s why they formed the band. Josh and Clayton are back with Stayte right now, which just signed to a new record label. Murv and Sin just toured with Lords of Acid and I’m pretty sure are going in the studio with them. As for Aaron, last I heard him and Murv made a band called Diamonds N Scratch.
I have a copy of Got Cock, it’s not exactly Sex-O, but it’s nice to have a contrast, I enjoy it.
So I’m the only one who didnt like the vox on Halloween '10. Not that I want him screaming at the top of his lungs but I just wanted more balls on the recording
I’ve never heard anything about a VS album with Jordison and I’m glad its a just a rumor. Ppl told me that Jordison sucked on drums during MasterbaTour
And not only was there supposed to be a new Lard album, there was supposed to be a new Pailhead album as well. I’ve never really listened to Lard outside of the song Forkboy but I am stoked about the a new Pailhead if it actually will get released.
As much as I wanna hear Al and the boys go out on a better note, I’m getting sick of waiting on other shit from Al. And I hope to god Blownload doesnt become the new RevCo. Perhaps under Al’s direction they could put out something better than Keep Sex Evil. Idk its really fucking irritating
Also, while I’m not digging this new version, if he’d done it as the closer on the C-U-Latour it would’ve KILLED. The crowd would’ve gone fucking nuts.
i wish i had written this.
I liked the snippet of the Razed in Black remix of the remake better than the remake itself.
I’ll be curious to hear the whole thing.
