Embarrassing.......

wolfmother

Gary Numan was awesome in '97 or '98. Can’t remember which year exactly, but it was a great show.

all my high school friends were going…and i hadn’t really gotten to spend much time with them since we graduated…as i moved away basically straight after we graduated…that said…i enjoyed it at the time…and Dungen opened…and I’ll defend Dungen to the fuckin death.

I saw Powerman 5000 off their first album.

i’ve seen them… and i like them. haha.

the new stuff not as much… but i love the first 4 albums (including AFD)

can’t say i get embarrassed by much, but seeing sylvester in chicago, shortly before the demise was pretty trashy.winter of '87?

Ultra! Mega! Super sonic!

…i was big on them and zombie in high school…zombie still a bit.

KISS (without makeup) with Slaughter and Winger opening.

shudder

1990 Hot In the Shade tour
Faster Pussycat and Slaughter opened for KISS.

Kenny G…with special guest, Michael Bolton. At a state fair.

It was free, I was young and stupid…

[reply]I just remembered something: Skid Row! I guess that would count as embarrasing.

Their concert might have sucked but “Slave To The Grind” was a great album.[/reply]

HA HA HA HA HA!!!

Priceless.

Can’t say I’ve ever been to an embarrassing gig - I’m just not that stupid.

I’m also quite the music snob and it takes quite some effort to convince me to see a band that I either don’t like or am indifferent too.

The worst gigs I’ve ever been to were:

Pere Ubu (2000) - they were terribly disorganised and kept stopping and starting time and time again. My friend and I gave up after a while and left. Also, they kept playing blues songs for some reason and I hate blues music.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers (1992) - don’t ask. I was young and naieve. I swear I’ll never fucken do it again.

Primal Scream (1995) - during their ‘Get yr rocks off’ period. Enough said.

Danzig (1993) I like the Misfits (years ago) but the guy is such a knob. A victim of his own hype and airhead pretenions. Itr would have been a half decent show too were it not for his over the top theatrics and tough guy macho put ons. Such a bore.

saw danzig in oct. of ‘94 and i don’t think that dude addressed the audience once. introduce song/sing song /goodnight. Type O’ Neg opened for him touring their bloody kisses cd and they were great. Danzig was good too i just hate when there is no artist interaction with the crowd the ramones were bad like that too!! (saw the adios amigos tour in '93 or '94)

Yep, that’s me.

Front Line Assembly 1996 - This show actually wasn’t so bad, but it’s worth mentioning that Bill Leeb did jumping jacks on stage to pump the crowd up for most of the show and it was hilarious. Also opening act Numb was considerably more exciting than FLA on this tour.

Hate Dept - They opened for Ohgr in place of Hocico (unfortunately) and it was beyond abysmal. The lead singer chap in his shiny vinyl pants and fishnet shirt was terribly upset that people weren’t in front of the stage rocking out to his fabo aggro music so he started trying to insult everybody. It eventually became difficult to restrain yawns. goodnight.

yea revok, hate dept did that here in ATL at the ohgr show as well. i was uncomfortable FOR HIM.

he kept yelling at everyone at the buffalo show calling them dumb goths and shit. i’m pretty sure that is just their thing. i thought it was funny. afra and i chatted with him for quite a while that night and he was a very cool down to earth guy.

i could be wrong, but wasn’t said singer individual Steve Seibold?

that sounds right.

That was Seibold, I was at Atlanta, and Jacksonville the next day and he did the same exact jokes goth insults etc… like the florida heat made all their makeup melt. This coming from a guy in eyeliner. The guitarist was the one pissing off the audience up front the most though as he kept spitting on everyone. At the Atlanta show someone pegged him in the head with a full water bottle, and the bouncers just laughed [:)]
