Seeing as alot of you panzy’s here are having orgasm’s over the latest weak nin electronic offering i thought it’d be a good idea to post some REAL electronic KICK ASS music.
Dubstep features strange off-beats, killer BASS and always has a very VERY spooky feel about it. Some of it is sublime and some of it is straight up cold alien electronic bass mayhem!
My two fav albums of the momment are “My Demons” by a guy called DJ Distance…that album is the shit! Seriously fresh electronic music. The other is “Degenerate” by Vex’D which is cold and heartless Dubstep at it’s best.
I picked up a killer white label 12" promo by a guy called Mike Lennon the other week which is DEVASTATING!!! To give you a little taste of what Dubstep is all about check out this song from Mike’s 12" called “When Science Fails”…
Now if Trent had done that song you’d all be screaming “it’s official, Trent is god and i’m just a little maggit waiting to get CRUSHED!!!”
Here are the myspace profiles of some of the leaders of this scene…click on them and check out some of the music… then burn you’re panzy nin records! (Obviously you can hold on to yours Kez[cool])
That’s a good start for your foray into the badass bass vortex that is DUBSTEP!!!
Bug (aka Kevin Martin aka God, Ice, Techno Animal) is also part of this scene now Jizzim so you better get down to your local record store and buy some DUBSTEP!!!
I don’t care for it.
That said, attempting to get someone to listen to a certain kind of music by telling them the kind of music they currently listen to is “weak” or “panzy” is a pretty stupid technique.

Yeah, and yr an ‘expert’ on electronic music.
So then…Whaddaya think of some of the founding father of electronic music? Xenakis? Parmegiani? Varese? Ligeti? Steve Reich? Penderecki? What did you think of the recent re-release of Persepolis?? You were obviously saddened by the recent death of Stockhausen, right? I mean, being such a fan of ‘electronic music’ you would have been moved by the loss of one held in such high esteem by electronic music buffs.
Yr obviously a big fan of any of the Austrian Mego label stuff too right?? I mean, you’d have to be. Farmers Manual? Fennesz? Florian Hecker?? Pan Sonic? Fenn’O’Berg? Light yr fire much?!?!? Heard the new Autechre, by any chance? What did you think? Does it match the sonic brilliance of Confield or Lp5? Tell me what ya think, Poncho. I’m dying to know.
I mean, yr the ‘expert’ right? You seem to know what’s shit and what’s not - fill us in. Share with us yr apparent abundance of knowledge on the subject. I’m itching to hear more. I want to learn from a ‘master’. Teach me - I’m all yrs.
p.s Who gives a toss about Trent Reznor anyway? Since when has he been the benchmark regarding electronic music around this forum or anywhere else for that matter. The guy’s a knob and his music is retarded.

It’s been said that you should never take anything on the internets seriously unless it’s followed by at least a dozen exclamation marks.
I like Burial quite a bit so I’ll check out some of these other guys. Liking Burial doesn’t keep me from liking Trent though. For that matter nor does loving Reich, Mother Mallards Instant Masterpiece Company, Terry Riley, Alvin Lucier, Stockhausen, Hans Edler and other early electronics innovators.
Taste is taste is taste, like what you like or else be trapped in the ghetto of feeling obliged to listen to this or that due to its elite status. I spent 5 years in that mindset and my rarely listened to John Zorn selection was huge.
