Although I’m a huge Chemlab fan I never liked the East Side Militia cover. Looks like a dumb video game or something, and doesn’t really reflect the album at all.

i LOVE the cover for Bowie’s new album. it is so simple and it effectively ushers int he lyrical themes for the new album… which is also EASILY my top contender for album of the year…

I see your point, despite hearing only one song I reckon the cover makes a statement, it’s clever, but aesthetically it looks terrible.
It’s far from the type of cover that would be at the front of the pile to brighten up the room.

Sabbath had quite a run of bad album covers (as well as some floating turds of material as well) following “Born Again” (which, by the way, is awesome and anyone that disagrees is wrong).
I agree with Eternal Idol (which I have on vinyl along with Seventh Star), but I actually like the Tyr cover. Cross Purposes would be cool for a different band.

The cover art on Sabotage is kind of awful, but there’s just this complete drugged out nonsensbility to it that is absolutely perfect to me. I have absolutely no problem with it.
TYR is just . . . . blecch. There’s nothing special about it. It’s some generic looking quasi-Celtic Druid bookmark doodlings or something. Whatever.
But . . . I am shocked that you would defend the cover art for Cross Purposes on ANY level. That is like Cleopatra bad.

I haven’t followed them for a long time, but I thought it was pretty much Prongs lexicon nowadays following Undercover, Greatest Tricks, and whatever other crap they put out for Ministry. CLEOPATRA = DOO DOO.
