Perhaps this sniffing but stage has helped us understand each other a little better [;)].
There are countless stories like this here. I saw that Doc about a month ago and yeah, dude, it’s horrible. The first Doc I saw on them was about 10 years ago and from what I remember, the documentary spent more time trying to make the father guilty, which he may very well be, but I wanted to know more about the kids and the situation.
This updated doc, I thought, was well done giving the history of everything surrounding the case and the events surrounding the crime.
The fact that these fella’s can’t sue the shit out of any of these fuckin people involved for wrongful incarceration is just another slap in the face. “We’ve robbed 20 years from you life be glad we’re letting you out now!” and they really did rob those guys, they all look 40 years old (which they are) but still talk like 16 year olds and I imagine their mind isn’t much farther along either. The fact that the prosecutor is running around telling people they’re still guilty just to save his own face is downright evil.
I still think the cheap gags of balls on the chin Meg and Lois having heads shaped like the under side of the penis head and quagmire with a giant dick coming out of the side of his cheek (like American dad- a show I can’t get in to) is still really stupid though.
DNA evidence from a hair collected at the crimes scene which MATCHES the stepfather of one of the victims (who has a history of violence towards women and children) cannot be introduced because it’s NOT “new” evidence?!?!
Wait - did IQ’s suddenly drop here??
And claims that the stepfather “masturbated in front of his children and assaulted them with a belt” have never been investigated further?!?!
Hello?
Even the parents of the other murdered kids think the stepfather - Terry Hobbs - is the real killer.
The state of Arkansas FUCKED UP early on during the investigation, including the failure to preserve the crimescene. The fucked up. Pure and simple. And to save their own asses they used these kids as scapegoats.
Yeah, that stuff is really aggravating (not speaking of the WM3 case specifically, but that type of corruption and bullcrap in general). I watch a lot of the ID (Investigation Discovery) channel and what really makes me nauseous is when AFTER some poor schlub has been put through the ringer and finally gets vindicated by the courts (new case, new evidence, etc.) proving and agreeing with his innocence . . . . the DA or some dick with an unrelenting ego and the inability to admit a mistake STILL sticks to his guns and says, “No. I was right and they just let a guilty murderer go free!”
What really got me really hot under the collar about that WM3 documentary, was when they finally sat down and interviewed the stepdad, Terry Hobbs, and how he sat and smirked and grinned through the whole thing.
Smirking? Your stepson has been brutally murdered, new DNA evidence has been uncovered which implicates you as possibly having something to do with it and you smirk?
And the prosecutors never being up on the being FUCKING ODD behaviour?
It was also funny how he didn’t “recall” ever breaking into a neighbour’s house and threatening her after she threatened to call the police for beating his wife? He doesn’t recall that? Even though there’s a police report? And he was never charged with that??
Maybe it’s just me but beating the shit out of your wife, then breaking into the neighbour’s house and approaching them while they are naked and getting out of the shower and threatening them with harm is…fairly serious?
the DA or some dick with an unrelenting ego and the inability to admit a mistake STILL sticks to his guns and says, “No. I was right and they just let a guilty murderer go free!”
It’s really gross.
It’s like they have a personal score board and their conviction stats are all that matter and not the law or the justice they swore to uphold. Justice is a game.[:(]

And should pay for it.

would you be against giving social services more money and more powers?
Peligro, check out the story on ruben “the hurricane” carter. There’s another horrible miscarriage of justice. Bob Dylan (im not a huge fan of dylan’s) wrote an awesome song about him in an effort to draw attention to the corruption that fell on ruben. When he finally did get out of jail he moved to canada and headed up the in innocence project.
Also many of the black panther leaders were incarcerated on trumped up charges or just “disappeared.” Leonard Peltier and Mumia Abu Jamal are two more wrongfully convicted people and probably more well known due to jello biafra and rage against the machine drawing attention to their cause.
WM3 is just one of many examples of the fucked up shit americans do to each other in order to make a name for themselves. There was one case in the early 90s where the public defender slept through most of the trial and it was later revealed that he did so because he was on heroin weed and cocain and would nod off because during recesses he would go to the bathroom to get high. The defendent rightly asked for a new trial and was denied because he was given counsel. The law says nothing about competent counsel just that you have right to counsel.
would you be against giving social services more money and more powers?
More money, yes. More power, no. They have enough power as it is they just need to be able to wield the power that they have now. But budget cuts and being understaffed keeps that from happening. More power would likely set up the situation that we see with some of the dickhead DAs. Some social worker would get a wild hair up their ass and ruin some family because he needs to satisfy his id.
I like that there’s a “Look Who’s Talking Now” . . . and the kids are like 7 years old.
Really? They can talk? No shit! They’re ready for 3rd grade, I should damn well hope they can talk now. Call Ripleys! This is some mind-blowing stuff.
Hahahaha, i forgot they made a third one. Travolta was just clinging onto anything he did at that point that was popular, i wonder if Look Who’s Talking Now inspired Tarantino to cast him in Pulp Fiction?

An R-rated version should be made where all of them are murdered…it could be called “Who is Shutting the Fuck up Now”…

It’d be nice to have a Pulp Fiction ref, have Samuel L Jackson walking around their living room pointing his gun at them and quoting the bible.
[reply]Remember Justin Broadrick’s remixes? I loved the Hostile one. Apparently Dime was crazy about it
Yeah, that was the Walk remix thing…Broadrick did Fucking Hostile and By Demons be Driven…he had a period where he was a rather in demand as far as remixes went…anytime you see Biomechanical mix listed somewhere chances are it’s him…[/reply]
Yep… his Biomechanical remix of Mark Of Cain’s “You Let Me Down” was awesome too.
By the way, the earlier Pantera talk reminded me of the Beavis & Butthead episode in which they are watching a video for (I think?) ‘Cemetery Gates,’ and after Beavis comments on Phil Anselmo’s intensity, Butthead chimes in with “go to your room, Pantera! How dare you speak about your mother that way”

David Bowie was a hack. All he ever did was follow whatever musical trend was happening at the time. Glam, then he was glam. New Wave, then he was New Wave. In the '90s, he even tried to be Nine Inch Nails.
Oh and anyone involved in that “Dancing In The Street” song and video should automatically be stricken from any Greatest lists.
Johnny Cash is stupid and boring. And he is NOT, by any stretch of the imagination, a ‘Legend’. I’d rather clean out the toilets at an Indian restaurant than listen to him sing or speak.
The lead singer of New Order has the worst voice of any band ever to hit the bigtime. He couldn’t hold a tune if someone pointed a gun at his head an demanded that he do so.
The Clash are utter garbage. Stop calling them ‘icons’ because they aren’t. Kurt Cobain was spot on about them.
