According to Chris’s FB some guy I’ve never heard of made it happen.
So I guess they hooked up via a mutual friend.

Right?
I’ve seen, like, two people that don’t like this one.

I think some of you newbies here are missing the point of tenohtwo’s post. This is the best news out of the Ministry camp in over a decade. Some of us have been posting about this for 20 years on this board! We have always longed for Ministry to reconvene with some of the past members from their glory days. Don’t get us wrong, we do enjoy some of their post HOTM material, but Al’s detachment from anthing prior to that has always been disappointing. This could be the first step towards Al embracing the amazing work from Twitch to Psalm 69 (Revco included). I am simply ecstatic that this happened. And with rumors of another Cocks album in the future, a collaboration with Chris isn’t that unrealistic. And most of all, a reconciliation with Paul would the crowning achievement.

I could care less what Al or Chris looked like in this video, if that’s all you noticed you are missing the point.

I thought Al and CC both looked and sounded great here.
Maybe they would come off better if they had some full blooded coofin guitars.

On Connelly’s FB he says John Bechdel made it happen.

Totally agree with this. Happy to see Chris & Al jam together. Long time coming.

I do like the new cd…best thing in a long time.

I was dumbfounded to see Chris Connelly Sat night. I always mark out when I get to go see Ministry live, the last three times Ive seen them I took people who have never seen them and they always love it despite the tinitus. Little worried before hand how they would sound, they really came through sounding great, kudos to Jason Cristopher and Roy Mayorga playing on the album, Derek Abrams is a bonafide Ministry drummer. Burton Bell was great with his vocals. Better than the last time I checked em out but last time sound was not so great maybe due to acoustics where I was standing.

We arrived late and didn’t get to see the God Bombs but I did meet Justin Symbol and wish we could have seen him onstage, I like his sound.

Amerikkkant is a great album. Agree with other posters who said it was a lot of white noise at times with too many samples, but it keeps getting better and better. I can hear of course bits of Filth Pig and DSOTS, but also Last Sucker like someone else mentioned. I still like FBTE better. The material sounds great live. Don’t miss out!

Outstanding!!

I’m happy to see that they have buried the hatchet. They wrote their books, aired their dirty laundry, and have probably reached a point in their lives where any acrimonious feelings have faded away with time. Maybe Al and Chris realized that life’s too short for all the bullshit. Who knows, they may have mended fences a while back, and this is more a revelation to us than it is to them.

I think it would be even more shocking if this happens with Barker, only because it sure seem like Al and Paul really don’t like one another. It has always been a bummer to see the division and burned bridges between some of these guys. I’d love to see Al, Chris, and Paul working together again.

Ditto that…marvelous performance!!

Me thinks Paul Barker coming back is now a remote possibility at best versus being a “never” type thing…

Seeing that footage of Uncle Al & Mr. Connelly has made this Ministry Geek very happy…I feel like Will Ferrell in ELF when he told his Dad that he was in love & wanted the whole world to know about it!!

Yeah I can relate with wanting Al to just embrace his aging process & perhaps behaving like a mature 60 year old but then he wouldn’t be Uncle Al…kinda like that he’s such a cyber mutant Gothic cowboy or pirate if you will [:P]

Oh. Then it IS somebody I’ve heard of.

Adrienne seems to have been involved as well, if the backstage pictures being super excited at the reunion are any indication.

I’m wondering if a lot of the bad blood between Al and his old crew was due so much to Angie that with her gone it’s a lot easier to patch things up.

Bingo.
