I went to his rodeo place in Florida like 20 years old.
In Jupiter…where he did that dumb game show with Loni and all his famous friends…[/reply]
Yep. My Grandma took me there. Was pretty lame from what I can remember.
Yeah,that part of Florida blows…

HAPPY BIRTHDAYBURT REYNOLDS!!!
Happy Birthday to the greatest actor, no, excuse me, the Greatest Human Being of all time.
Burt Reynolds turns 78 today.
Please, let’s take a break from the madness of inter-personal squabbling for a moment and focus on one thing that EVERYONE can agree on . . . the greatness that is Burt Reynolds.
A great,great man…
I wonder if he ever banged Shirley Temple.
I wonder if he ever banged Shirley Temple.
Probably hit it last night to celebrate.
Gave her a little Bon Voyage cruise on the Good Ship Lollipop.
Maybe but for sure Buzz Osbourne banged Shirley Temple’s daughter…
I think it’s time for me to cash out my 401K, sell my house, liquidate all assets . . . .
. . . and buy THIS . . .

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRUMPS!!!
Thanks brother!
Happy birthday to both of you [:)] Gunnar, is that a picture that Burt autographed for you?
I always loved Burt. I wonder if he could get a time machine back to the 80s would he avoid making City Heat? If he hadn’t had that barstool across his jaw things could have been very different for him, people wouldn’t have spread rumours he had AIDS, he wouldn’t have fallen out of favour. Really sad, the man’s a legend.

No. I wish.
I do have two Smokey and the Bandit (1 and 2) LP’s framed and displayed proudly on my office wall, but no Burt signatures, sadly.

Happy Bday,Grmpy!!! Many more…
I’d love to see another comeback by Burt, he was fantastic in Boogie Nights, especially the scene where he realises his mentor’s a paedo when visiting him in jail. It’s a pity he changed his mind after he made the film and started badmouthing it, that was bad form on his part, doesn’t detract from his great performance though. I think he’s got another one of those kind of performances left in him, he just needs the right director to give him a shot.

Well, as we were talking about “Blood of Heroes” and you mentioned “Unforgiven” I think one final swansong directed by Clint Eastwood would be a great vehicle to give Burt a parting finale too.
He’s too damned old to be the ass-kickin’ Bandit. Given. (Yes, it hurts me to say that, and YES, I would still be first in line if the movie makers wanted to give it a go anyway).
But I think in a dirty ass dark and heavy western flick he could be a slimy, crooked, evil-hearted bastard (the old rotten prick that just owns everything and everyone and has a bunch of soulless henchmen at his beck and call), and just unleash a hellish fury of a performance that would leave us with one final stamp of greatness on his flawless portfolio.
Ha, that would be amazing, i think he would pull it off admirably as well. I think you mentioned Deliverance once or twice before, he really can act but i think a lot of his roles didn’t really require him to so he kinda coasted by. I mean, when you have the charisma of Burt Reynolds, why would you want to see him pretending to be someone else? There’s a reason he was pretty much the biggest box office draw of the 70s and into the 80s.
