Burt Reynolds

He was stellar in boogie nights

I saw “Deliverance” last year for the first time (having read the book over a decade ago), and I was bored as fuck. Except for that one scene, obviously. Anyone else feel the same?

No.

Cool! Did you see the episode of the show Fast n’ Loud where they restored the Bandit model Trans Am? The main guy in the show’s a dick, but Little Enos turns up, there’s a lot of refs to the film, they visit Burt Reynolds, who looks about 100, and they all dress up as Bandit, Snowman and Buford T Justice. It’s pretty funny.

Haha! Sounds amazing. I’ll look for it. They had an episode of one of those restoration shows where they fixed up Elvira’s MacabreMobile. It was fantastic and Cassandra Petersen, at 60+ still looks incredible.

you’re forever welcome

Man, Buford looks spot on.
where was this at Gunnar?

IS THAT A TWISTED SISTER PIN?!?!?!?! ON YOUR UNIFORM?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Yeah, Buford was a dead ringer. Bandit was a little dodgy. This was on Fremont St. in Vegas. There’s often dudes dressed in various costume hustling tips for photos . . . Spiderman, Jack Sparrow, Transformers, IronMan, etc. . .

I never even look twice at them as they are always the same low-rent grifters wherever you go (Hollywood Blvd, Venice, 3rd Street, LV Blvd, etc., etc.,) but these dudes caught my eye immediately.

I was speechless and just started shouting “DUDE, DUDE, DUDE!!!” to my Homie as I ran to Bandit and Buford, gave them a few bucks and started posing. My friend and my client both had cameras so there should be some other shots coming through later as well. I was told there was video too, haha!

I like that they’re both Mexican.

I’m imagining some Swede’d out version of the flick starring only Mexicans. Makes it even funnier.

That’s the same line that two of the musicians shouted at me when we were watching the metal cover band “ARENA” at the West end of Fremont St.

They played a great load of proper metal songs . . . Metallica, Judas Priest, Metallica, Accept, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister.

When they played “We’re Not Gonna Take It” my crew and I, as well as everyone else in attendance, went completely nuts. I’ve lost my voice from screaming and rocking out so hard.

Bandit looks like it’s either Jamie Farr (Klinger from MASH) or a whited-up Sammy Davis Jr playing him. Buford T Justice is fantastic though.

That’s one of my fave karaoke tunes.

I might have to use that too. I’ve kind of played out my Billy Idol performances. “We’re Not Gonna Take It” is an easy one to sing and will get the crowd pumped.

“I Wanna Rock” is great too, but there’s a few lines in it that are absolute tongue-twisters.

I wonder if anyone has tried to do that gay “We Didn’t start the Fire” tune by Billy Joel…what a pain in the ass that must be…

Yeah, that would suck. Plus the song is crap already. Another piece of crap which would be difficult to execute would be that “End of the World As We Know It” song by REM.
