this is crap.

if it would be something like ministry’s performance at the bridge school, it would be great, but no. it just has to have that - i dont know how to describe it - that plastic post-2004 ministry sounding.

I think everything 1999 and up has had a wimpy drum sound only ‘shove’ ‘lockbox’ and a few from houses had a decent drum sound imo well ‘death and destruction’ from tls and ‘assclown’ had an okay sound

Yeah, but that was industrial. The drums weren’t supposed to sound real. What he’s been doing since RGB is this annoying programmed drumming that’s an imitation of real drumming, as opposed to the industrialized percussion of the old days. He’s either being too lazy or too cheap to hire a real drummer and get a fuller, thicker sound.

I was thinking about that right after I listened to these two songs. I think he doesn’t give a damn what misanthropic fans like ourselves want to hear, and he’s just having fun. Dicking around, playing covers and weird pseudo-country songs, Christmas records, etc. Even when I don’t like the songs, I can tell he’s enjoying himself. Good on him for that.

I think its actually pretty cool. I alway thought it would sound like a combination of the Bridge stuff mixed with happy dust and lay lady lay. Had the vocals been more stripped and the drums been real instead of programmed I doubt anyone would complain. Hopefully the rest of the cd chills out with the super loud mixing. What wrong with me gives a nice throw back to Just like you.

Just to rub salt in that wound a new Misfits™ platter is about to drop sometime in November. Sigh, the less said about that the better.

As for this Buck Satan stuff I don’t mind it all that much, but so far it is a bit more synthetic and polished sounding than I thought it would be. The drums to me sound much better in the second song. That cymbal hit though that has been on everything he’s done the last 6 years is extremely annoying.

These guys have been supposedly farting around for at least a year now? I love how they disguise themselves. If I’d walked past a crappy venue and saw a poster or marquis for Buck Satan and the 666 Shooters I would have definitely forked out whatever the entry fee to see the show. I’ve a feeling I would then end up trying to murder someone.

HAHAHA!!! I do remember that. I didn’t know that Axl actually stopped him, though. I thought maybe Dexter was just talking trash but never followed through.

I remember when I read an interview where he announced the plan. He said something like,
