Buck satan and the 666 shooters

Is there anywhere I can find their music?

no

Unless’n someone recorded the Liberty Lunch gig.

I thought someone did have that show… but they lost it. Ah probably BS, remember reading about it on the board AGGGEEEESS ago. Probably better to hassle flaming lips fans for it rather than ministry ones… they are more likely to have the opener boot. I think I found some copies of the headline show ages back, but no mention of the opener.
It was the flaming lips wasnt it?

Is there anywhere I can find their music?

They appear on the ‘Legally Blonde 2’ soundtrack, covering a Neil Sedaka song.

On thirteen planet records website there is a section for buck satan and it says that there will be a website.
will there be any releases?

no news whatsoever.

it’s not even funny anymore.

it’s al’s ‘phantom’ sideproject since when?

they have the tshirts, etc, a ‘website’.

but nothing more.

don’t waste your time trying to find their songs or whatever.

I’m still waiting for the album by ‘Where Everyone Learns Truth’. I’m sure it will be out next year…

Oh, wait…

heh heh, that’s a good one!

Yeah, Al’s “announced but never released” discography is bigger than most artist’s released discography. Off the top of my head:

Same Old Madness EP 1982
Black Box - Untitled 2x7" 1984?
I See Red EP 1985
Revolting Cocks - untitled EP 1985
Revolting Cocks - Mr. Lucky EP 1993
When Everyone Learns The Truth 1994
Buck Satan & The 666 Shooters 1994
Psalm 69 Tour Live Album 2000
Clitour Live Album 2000
What About Us EP 2002

And that doesn’t count scrapped incarnations of albums that had different names (Black By Popular Demand (became BS&Q), Tapes Of Wrath (the working title for Psalm 69). I’m sure I’m leaving something out, but that’s really enough. Most bands would be proud to have that kind of output.

In an old VH1 interview, Al refers to Everyday Is Halloween as an “album”. Makes me wonder…

1002

Psalm 69 Tour Live Album 2000

I think this ended up becoming the “bonus disc” on the import version of Psalm 69. It’s only 6 tracks, but they’re incredible quality. I think it was Ipecac that was going to release all the live stuff at that point, right? Anyone know what happened there? I’m guessing some problem with Warner.
I’m also still waiting for WELT…well, waiting to the extent that I’d completely forgotten about it. Also waiting for the fabled Tapeworm. I’d heard there were some demos available, if someone could help me out?

yep, it was problems with Warner which prevented the live Psalm disc I believe. as for tapeworm, the demos were fake

The Just Another Fix disc came before the live album off Ipecac. The Ipecac release was going to be a full album.

That would’ve been nice. I’ve got live stuff from that era left and right, but I’m sure you know (Bisquitodoom) about the quality of it. A full album, selected by the band perhaps, all from the soundboard, and properly mastered…that would be a dream come true!
Also, anyone happen to know any Flaming Lips fans? This show is even more rare than live Lard!
“She don’t eat jelly…”

how many live albums were planned? i’ve read somewhere that they were planning to release psalm, filthpig and dark side tours live cds - that makes three.

Yeah, but I’malmost positive that the Filth Pig tour one is the same version that ended up getting released as Shpinctour.

yea, i agree. but it would be very very interesting to hear live albums for 92, 99 and 2003 tours.

I’ve got it in my collection.
Some nice stuff.
Tonight we murder is one of their best songs.

No, that one’s just called “Box” and it’s a collection of b-sides of the 12" singles from “Twitch” through “Psalm 69”.
