who is doing the vocals on the distorted bit in “Wretched Little Deity”?
also, on “Your Crime Scene My Career/Blood on the Bayou Remix” there’s a drum bit that sounds just like a cocks beat. i cant figure out which tune it is.
Initial reactions “Wretched Little Deity” really sounds like it wants to be an NIN single circa '94, with the “Suck” bassline, the heavy guitar chorus, and complete with a “Closer”-esque ending.
As a whole the sound is really dated but not a bad effort. I liked Connelly’s vocals a lot, and the sound of the bass itself is awesome just hearing Barker back in action is bliss…
The remix was way better IMO though and definitely makes me really psyched cuz this is an awesome cast of characters involved!!
Holy crap! how have I been missing this thread? Vintage paul, Awesome Connelly Vox. Hell yeah! Both my wife and I said it’s sounds very cocksesque with the intro bassline to wretched.
Wonder if Luc is involved, as well.
Wonder if it will be download only or if there will be a physical release.

Noice. Having this suddenly appear & the coup of having songs ready for streaming is how you do it. None of the countless updates from that ‘other’ group whose name doesn’t deserve to be typed until I hear a note of music.
The salad mix of instruments (huge slide guitar on the remix) gives it a polished mid 90’s feel, akin maybe to Die Warzau’s Engine. The kind of moneyed sound that came with the commercial interest in industrial after Ministry and NIN. I like it. They’re not going to win any points for being innovative and I think that’s beside the point.
It didn’t occur to me until just now. . .that the paper bag bit was used on the least famous member of that band. IE: the person nobody would actually recognize.
This one is too dry for my tastes, needs more bass. Energy’s good, I like when Chris does the fast shouted vocal… I’m wondering actually if Barker sat out the producer/engineer role; they’re lacking the panoramic depth he’s given to everything from Filth Pig onwards, even if still in the demo stages.
