All good…glad this is happening.

thanks-it’s been really good fun working on this stuff!

I’m more interested in this than that other industrial supergroup whose name I’ve already forgotten.

Yeah, but this one doesn’t give you a paper bag puppet for donating $50. . . . . or does it?

Seriously, though, I just today clicked on this thread and am glad I did. Sounds like something with potential. I’ll listen to some samples later.

Sounds way too much like Bowie to compare to OMD.

meh, I kept wanting to sing the fuckin’ theme to the breakfast club. I’m not at all familiar with Bowie’s catalog so the breakfast club is what I heard.

What ever. either way I’m not a fan of that track.

I guess it does sound closer to Missing Persons than OMD. I only said Bowie cuz Chris sounds so much like him when he sings.

I haven’t heard the samples yet, but from the comment above I’m now hearing in my head the OMD “If You Leave” song sung in Chris Connelly’s badass Scottish voice and it sounds GLORIOUS. I don’t even particularly like OMD, but I think this cover would totally work.

He sings normal. It’s hard to even tell if it’s him singing. might be a different vocalist.

Damn. Now I’m kind of NOT looking forward to hearing it. I’ll still check it out when I can, but I was really hoping Connelly’s voice would be properly Connellyish.

On a sort of related tangent, 17 years later I’ve finally started to dig on Danzig V - Blackacidevil. I eventually got over my grudge and I now think it’s pretty damn cool.

I’ve enjoyed all the demos so far, it’s really good stuff.

Dunno about Danzig V though, tried it a few times and could never get very far into it.

This new track is the only one that sounds like it might have a different vocalist. The rest of it is what most of us have secretly been hoping Connelly would do again for ages.

I wouldn’t say secretly. I like most everything of his I’ve heard, but pretty much everybody publicly agreed Cocks Members was awesome and wanted more, it only makes sense. Wouldn’t you? I bet they’re really having fun too.

This new project is a great and very welcome development, the potential for it has always been there niggling away so it’s good to see it coming together.

But most importantly, Chris & Paul, get some fucking DIY concerts going. Fucking love DIY concerts!

I’m secretly connellyish…

Fucking love DIY concerts!

Haha, I just took the wife and niece to see Spelling Bee play last Sunday in the basement of Apop Records. They were rad. Skarekrau Radio played too, it was a CD release show for them.

Didja get wicked smashed and piss green beer for a week? Watch out for the pigs, Man. They like to bust asses at those DIY concerts. LOVE DIY CONCERTS!!!

Interesting apparently this Brian Diemar guy who’s involved was supposed to do an album with Pogo the ex-Marilyn Manson keyboardist recently:

Totally not interesting…
