I don’t know if I’m gonna make it to anymore ministry shows. This shit was seriously underwhelming. Merch sucked, stage props sucked. Set list blew!!

Apparently Anaheim screwed us out of Filth Pig and Khyber Pass. Those 2 were listed on the set list encore but because of the curfew they got axed. I dont think even Filth Pig couldve saved that set list though. I will say this though, The bands energy was good and they sounded tight. But… ugh… ya. [:|]
Could be better (a Filth Pig and/or LoRaH song would be nice), but I like most of those songs, and half of them I’ve never heard live before. So I think I’ll have a good time.
Biggest surprise for me is seeing “LiesLiesLies” still in rotation I thought Ministry had given up on that conspiracy theory. And “Rio Grande Blood” too does that still open with the manipulated GWB samples, or have they updated it to the current administration?
Alright you paid good money ill give ya what you want… the old ones
Just occurred to me… this is a direct quote, isn’t it? [:/]
I dunno, man. From the 21st Century stuff I love Twilight Zone and Sr. Peligro. I think I’d almost be willing to go just to hear Filth Pig.
How were Chelsea Wolfe and Void?
For me it’s the old ones from #10-13 that are played out…the rest of the set is cool with me especially if Filth Pig is thrown in there…
Did Burton just sing on those two? Or did he join for the greatest hits? I feel like Ive seen him do J1F before.
If he did just those two, thats good with me.

Filth pig wouldve been great and wouldve saved it but we got left hanging with just bad blood, which was still great to hear. I loved hearing bad blood live but if filth pig would’ve been played too that wouldve made the rest of the set forgivable.
Chelsea Wolfe sounded like (vocally) an Evenescence clone. I kept waiting for her to break into Im going unnnnnnnnnder.
Like I said in the other thread void was really good and im not saying that just because hes actually opening for ministry, reached one of his goals, living the dream. The only slight i can give the guy is that his stage behavior is still very Marilyn Manson but since his music is original and catchy (and lets face it, actually music now) stage behavior isnt so much of a big deal. His drums are really good and loud and distinct. He uses a lot of toms and i dont think theres even a snare in the kit. The big toms are my favorite drums anyway so i may be partial. He really did have the most people on the floor that I’ve ever seen for an opener. Stay for void, get a drink for chelsea wolfe, use the bathroom for songs 10-12 during ministry. And to be completely blunt, of the new ministry songs the only one that had a discernible melody was twilight zone. All the other songs sounded like a wall of noise. i could barely hear lyrics.

He did 3. He did those 2 i wrote and i forgot to write he did wargasm too.
He was not on stage for any of the older shit. That doesnt mean he wont though for future gigs. Yeah, he did J1Fix, NWO, So What, and thieves for the last sucker tour.

Man, i am right there with you! I am so over hearing 10-12 (Im likely to never stop loving so what) that if i never hear those 3 songs live again Ill be just fine. Its No wonder Al hates his old shit and is tired of playing it. He thinks his old shit consists of NWO, J1Fix, and Thieves. Im as tired of hearing it as he is of playing it. Play some other older shit, Al. Bring back The Fall. Play Nursing Home or Step definitely Eureka Pile. Maybe Dead Guy. How about Scarecrow? Breathe would be awesome!! Hes got so much great older shit and he ignores it. What a waste!
Yeah i got three songs outta that set list. Punch in the face. I really like that track. So what (never gets old) and bad blood. 4 decent songs if i count twilight zone (wasnt bad at all).

Yeah man that’s the thing:Al has so much great stuff to chose from the back catalog and yet over and over he ushers these same encores out(don’t get me wrong I love those tracks but god damn mix it up a bit)…

A pic of the set list posted on FB says “Psalm 69” was supposed to be in the encore as well.
I don’t know why they are playing any of the W era songs at all. It’s ridiculous.
Weren’t there a few shows in the last 2-3 years where Al dusted off “The Missing”, “Breathe”, and “Stigmata”?
Maybe it’s just too much work (for love) for Al to reprogram and rehearse the older stuff.

Yeah right. All that is on the members of the band. All Al needs to do is relearn the lyrics (barely he has cheat lyrics on stage with him) and relearn some guitar fills as needed. If thats too much work…
