its a tough subject for me, since i feel that whatever al’s problem is with paul, he has spread those bad feelings toward me and anyone who won’t hate (and i mean HATE) barker along with him. its what got me fired from ministry; i would not SAY that i hate paul, and i helped him with his demo after he quit ministry… to al, i was a “double agent”, and he called me this frequently near the end.
It would be interesting to hear someone ask the guys from Stayte about this as, to my knowledge, they’re the only people to work with both Al and Paul within the past year.

Why am I not surprised Mrs. Jourgensen has a problem with pretty much everyone. She was the death of Ministry. No doubt about it.
I don’t know what the band is anymore, but it sure isn’t the Ministry I love. It’s pretty clear that Paul did steal something - pretty much all the musical talent left with Barker, leaving nothing but an empty hulk of a band and a sad angry little man of a former partner who is married to the women who killed my all time favorite band. May she rot.
Al and Paul may not have been the best of friends but they made just absolutely fantastic music together. It’s terribly disappointing it all had to end on such bad terms with petty name calling and lawsuits by a certain party.
Mrs. Jourgensen please rid the planet of your foul presence. The stench of your self importance is overwhelming.

it seems that the only real bad blood is between Al and Paul… as for Marty, i have heard from people who have worked withhim in other projects, and on his label that he is kind of a dick, and hard to get along with anyway…

Al sounds like a fuckin’ nut bar! Accusing Paul of an attempted murder plot? How could he kill Al and get Connelly to sing for Ministry if he had quit the band? Perhaps, maybe back in the day it would’ve been easy. Wait for him to pass out and just over fill his viens with heroin and make it look like an overdose, but obviously, that didn’t happen.
i was being forced to take sides, and i wouldn’t do it.

its easy to just say, well, al’s an ex-junkie and he’s lost it and he’s paranoid.
Hell yeah it’s really easy to say that! did he even listen to himself when he was telling you about the attempted murder embezzlment charges?
but he’s also pretty honest and says he’s got proof ‘on paper’, although i have not seen it. al is the most clear-headed that i’ve ever seen now, more than ever probably, as he actually got off the hard drugs.
I obviously don’t know Al, but knowing he was/is a drug user, that pegs him as manipulative, as he’s definately painted in the connelly book. So I would want to know what all he’s honest about…Just all the way around honest guy…Well maybe, but I doubt it. Manipulative People who use others are generally NOT honest

He didn’t necessarily say “Paul did it”. It seemed more like “Al seems like an honest guy”, but he never outright said “Paul seems that way”. All he said was “maybe people act different about money”. Didn’t strike me at all as an assumption. And the way Max did make it seem: Al’s clean and paranoid, animositisomnia went over budget, and he’s looking for royalties from it, but it’s possible there’s nothing there. Either way it’s shady.

Spurburn isn’t a label. It’s a publishing company. Paul still publishes under Spurburn (see USSA) but Al now publishes under something else (Ministrymusic?). Hypo/Luxa was just the name they attached to their production work.
Max’s comment about Connelly and Barker gave me a great idea.
I’ve always thought a Barker/Connelly/Rieflin/Barker band combo would turn out some great stuff. Shame Roland is off in HI and Bill is tied up with REM.
For me the ideal lineup was the live unit for the ‘Dark Side of the Spoon’ tour. Brody is definitely an overlooked member who joined the fold later on and did some awesome work in the band.
Hell, I think his presence was the saving grace keeping ‘Houses of the Mole’ from being utter shit like its successors.
In case many of you havent noticed, “Ministry” is in fact not the name of a soap opera.
