I have a friend who was there the other night. Geezer Butler joined, Tom Morello and even Marilyn Manson.

UGGGHHHH!!!
He shot a short clip that I just tried to share with you on FB. Don’t think it worked unfortunately.
Also Perry Ferrell and Duff McKagan played too.
This show must be sometime around 86 or 87 as he’s got Kip Winger (yes, that Kip Winger) on bass and Kane on guitar. Look at the stage set! Holy crap it’s immense!
And at 4:00 there’s a really awesome looking trick where Alice impales a camera man with his mic stand. It’s incredibly real looking. Very impressive.
As in Kane Roberts?! Talk about a blast from the past!
Yes!
Well, as soon as Amazon makes delivery next week I will have a complete set of every Alice Cooper studio album. I’m sorry I didn’t get to see him this year. I didn’t feel like going to one of the Crue/Cooper mega shows as I don’t really care about Motley Crue and don’t like Alice opening for anyone.
I need to see Alice Cooper live, i really would love it if he played here.

I hope you get the chance. It really is something special.
67 years old and still a top notch live performer.
I know. Total badass.
67 and rocks harder than any of these stupid kids 1/3 his age. J.Carton mentioned some big local story the other day where One Direction canceled a gig because one of the boys had a bad cold or flu or something. BAAHHHH!!!
Last time I saw Alice, he slipped on something on the stage and badly sprained his anke during the very start of the show. He didn’t even skip a beat. Instead of sitting down, checking out, or at least taking a pause to rub it and cuss a bit he just sang through it and no one hardly noticed that the dude was injured and in pain for the rest of the show. True professional and 100% dedicated to his craft and fans.
I saw Jane’s Addiction playing with Nine Inch Nails a few years ago. I’m not a huge fan of theirs, but Farrell put on a good, high energy show.
The next day I found out he tore his calf muscle at the beginning of the set and just powered through it. Got to hand it to him!

Cool! I have much respect for dudes that put it all on the line like that, regardless of whether I’m fans of their music or not (I’m not a big Jane’s Addiction fan either).
When Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor (Motorhead) died last month we were sharing stories which included him badly injuring his neck and continuing the tour in a neck brace . . . and him breaking his fingers or hand, and duct-taping the drumstick to his hand so he could still play.
I also heard about this one guy in Def Leppard . . . .

They did a few songs on Welcome 2 My Nightmare as well.

Millennials suck but I feel this is too broad of generalization…
Have I told my Alice Cooper story here? I was in high school (in Stamford, CT) and it was a bad snow storm. I got to school on time and wandered into my Creative Writing class, but no one was there. Only this mysterious goth chick I’d had a crush on but didn’t have the courage to talk to.
Said goth chick invited me to her house because it was a half snow day and school was temporarily cancelled. I agreed and off we went. The house was a bizarre old mansion type thing with a giant, empty bird cage and weird black curtains everywhere. Her mom came in a velvet black dress looking like Morticia Adams baring a tray of strange and kind of gross hors d’oeuvres.
It was all very awkward and creepy. The girl put on the NIN ‘And All That Could Have Been’ DVD and “Closer” live was playing. A man (her father) came in wearing a black blazer with long black hair and came in to watch with us. Trent Reznor sang “I want to fuck you like an animal” and the man kind went “hmpphh” and walked out, hands behind his back, like a disgruntled professor.
The mom exclaimed “Chelsea, you know I don’t like when he sings that!” Then we left and went back to class because school was resumed.
The girl was Chelsea Dunaway. Her father, I found out later, was Dennis Dunaway, the original bassist of the Alice Cooper band!

I don’t know if you’ve watched any of the show Vinyl, from Scorsese and Mick Jagger, but there’s actors playing Alice Cooper (the band, original version) in one of the earlier episodes, episode 3 i think. It’s a great show anyway, it’s about the record business in NY in the 70s, i recommend it. The guy playing Mr Cooper is great.
Killer is one of the best rock n roll albums of all time, I may even say it’s in the top 20…
Void that story is hilarious
Just cyberstalked Chelsea Dunaway.
She looks like her dad.
Took “head” 4 years to come up with that one.
Hmmphhh…
