In the early '00s Alice would do a song called “It’s The Little Things” and in the middle he’d call out someone in the front row wearing a shirt from a rival band. At the show I saw it was Marilyn Manson, but he’d also call out people wearing KISS or whatever else.
Oh wow, neeto! 2nd row, wow! Oh golly gee willakers have a fun t time, that is so neeto!..wowzers!

Like he’d pull 'em up on stage to make fun of them, or he’d incorporate them into the lyrics or what? I’m not familiar with this.
In all honesty, I wasn’t really a super fan of Alice until recently. I’d always known OF him and his big hits, of course, and respected his long time presence. But after seeing him once and then digging into more of the old stuff (and new stuff) and reading more and watching videos . . . . I just gradually became more and more obsessed.

Yeah, I think so.
I was quite surprised to be able to get 2nd row, actually.
I’d been waiting for my friends to confirm if they were coming or not and when I finally got word the tickets had been on sale for a few weeks. I kept clicking back and forth on Ticketmaster and somehow got second row . . . for a group of FIVE tickets. I think it must have been a cancelation that freed it up at the exact right time or something. I don’t know. But it’s gonna be awesome!

He’d mention them as part of the song. I don’t remember the exact lyrics, but it’s about all these bad things happening to him and then he’d “but this guy in the front row wearing an Ozzy Osborne shirt really pisses me off!”
HAHAHA!!! I’ll have to see if there are any YouTube clips. Thanks!
I’ve not read/watched this yet.
Just putting it here for later.
And, no, I didn’t get a ticket for the ROXY show.
Sold out in less than a minute.
I didn’t even get a chance to try, though, as I was hosting some real asshole clients.

I’m always weary of anything “supergroup” because they usually always blow unholy ass, but I admit I would give this a whirl considering the participants. I like damn near every musician affiliated with this release plus the name throwback is cheeky…
Oh also I wanna see Alice bad but I didn’t wanna go to his show two years ago because a majority of the setlist was butt-rock Alice, my my I would kill to hear some vintage Cooper live
Even the butt rock is fun live.
But at least half the show is 70’s era Alice (Nightmare, Go To Hell, Elected, Billion Dollar Babies, I Love The Dead, Hello Hurray, No More Mr. Nice Guy, 18, Dwight Fry, Under My Wheels, School’s Out). That’s just off the top of my head.

Those are some classic cuts…and yeah Cooper is just fun, regardless of set list…
Since getting that box set I’ve literally been listening to ONLY Alice Cooper for the past two weeks. Some of my new favorites . . .

From The Inside
“From The Inside” is super cool. It’s from when he got out of the mental institution and the whole thing is like a complete opera or something, telling stories about the loony bin. I don’t know what the technical definition of “concept album” is, but this one is very focused on a defining theme. Some of it is quite demented too.
I’ve been doing the same…I got the Alice box and the BOC box on the same day and have been alternating albums…so much greatness…

The pics on the inserts are really great too.
I love the pic of him with the gun inside “Whiskey And Lace”.
And the gatefold spread inside “From The Inside” is totally amazing. You can find all the songs visually represented in it. It’s super rad.
Which BOC box did you get?
This one?
I might get that one too.
I’ve always liked them, but have only ever had stuff on comps and BOC Greatest Hits CD’s (never any actual albums), so I wouldn’t have any repeats even, haha!
A From The Inside fan, eh?
You ought to dig this, then…

Thanks, Rev! That comic looks amazing!
If I see it at not-too-rapey a price on Ebay or something I’ll have to pick it up.

Yep,that’s the one…it is outstanding…they are an immensely underrated band and once you “get them” you really get them…they rock out but they are also weird and mystical…I really dig the fuck out of them, always have…
Gunnar-I think I might have that Alice Cooper comic book somewhere…I sold my old collection back in 2000(made a small fortune)but I kept a select number of about 40…I will look over the weekend and if I find it I will give it to you as a little Halloween present…
HAHA! Most excellent!
Looks like Geezer Butler joined em on stage the other night. Don’t really have time to watch the clip.
