From the inclusion of Spurburn, I’m thinking it has something to do with the publishing rights of some of the old stuff. No idea on the details.
Perhaps if Paul set up a paypal address or something, there might be some contributions. Maybe a release of some unheard material as mp3/flac with a requested donation? I bet that Low And Slow Lead Into Gold EP would generate some interest in pitching n.

as for the topic at hand, well, why has Al waited so long to file this case? He probably just needs a few quick bucks to keep his label running. He probably hasn’t even paied Prong or the other new folks yet[laugh]

i went to the la superior court website and there’s a civil case index to look up cases by name, but there’s a $4.75 fee. maybe later today.

according to TMIATTT booklet, connelly sang only the backing vocals on So What. also, the vocals for that track were overdubbed by Al for ICYDFLSU CD. so it’s rooted way back, and as we all know, “Paul was just a fuckin’ employee”. the way Chris was slagging Al on his forum i’m surprised he did guest vocals on So What in 2003 at one show. all this looks like a bad industrial metal soap opera.

haven’t gotten the new revolver yet, but on PA they were talking about al’s interview and how he calls raven the better replacement paul or something, and then how ministry’s music someone slowed down during the 90’s(because of barker?) maybe paul needs to file a lawsuit for slander now.

It is odd - I did expect to see it there and a huge discussion. It is, after all, a Ministry forum and the matter is now out there. It’s a civil suit - open to the public for all to see. Nothing is being revealed that shouldn’t be. Only a matter of time till the whole transcript is out there.
Someone must be frantically checking the PA to see if any new posts come up…
i believe al says that he “replaced paul (barker) with a better paul (raven)”. or something like that in the article you are referring to special ed.
And although i don’t know all of the specifics about this case i do know that Paul is a stand up guy and that this is more than likely 100% bullshit. It sucks that Paul has to waste hard earned money to defend himself. Al better watch out or his rep is gonna be along the lines of mr atkins soon.

Well it is big news so not surprising, maybe many of us aren’t commenting until we know more? Otherwise the thread could turn into a giant trash receptacle.
I believe that the three mods here probably had no idea and that it was Yoko that probably did. And when someone said on his “behalf”, that really wouldn’t surprise me any at all. Probably Yoko’s doing as well. It’s an impression to me that she was the one who chased out a few of the members, paul likely being one of them. And i’m quoting that from an actual post made by her. And 2003 and 2004 have very huge differences. Chris singing on So What in 2003 was more likely than 2004. Chris was supposed to even be on the last revco, but pulled out (in 2004). I’m kinda curious to see what Chris says about this.
But back to my original point, it’s yoko! For awhile now she’s been the main one trying to avoid all of the “questionable topics” at hand. So I wouldn’t doubt that she was the one to squash the topic, yet be so naive to not consider that it’ll pop up anywhere else.
The PA mods, who have also posted on this thread, didn’t know of it (just as I didn’t), so they obviously didn’t delete the thread. And if they did (which I know they didn’t), they would be acting on orders…

Usually the anti-Al stuff on here has a degree of intelligence, but not this time.
Suing a person is stressful, expensive and time consuming, not a thing to be done lightly over a bit of jealousy in the hope of a bit of cash. And as good as Paul’s new stuff maybe, it’s not as successful as Ministry is, even now.
This is hardly something done overnight, these legal shennanigans take years and years to prepare. It’s hardly like Al saw Paul being happy and though, oh yeah, I’m gonna fuck that up and the next day he goes and sues. There are far simpler ways of ruining a guy’s day.
you’re definitly right- that’s not to say al wasn’t bitter over say, pink anvil (which came out on ipecac, whereas ministry was to come out on there at one point) and paul’s intentions to do more music outside ministry.

wait… what? Ministry was gonna be on Ipecac? If that’s so, that very well could be what this is reference to.
ie, a suggestion that Paul “poisoned” the deal with Ipecac.
As I read that Tort info kindly posted above, this sorta thing is covered in that, correct? (I am not a lawyer)
