Gotta be the case cuz there is no way he stays away from this thread otherwise…
Maybe if by “interesting”, you mean “pathetic”. Even Scott Walker, noted Tea Party Republican, admitted that recounts only change the total by a couple hundred votes. Not nearly enough to change the outcome. Most of the lawsuits are frivolous and grasping at straws. They are holding press conferences in a landscaping company parking lots next to an adult book store, featuring a convicted sex offender as their star witness of alleged misconduct.
Hillary Clinton conceded on Nov. 9, 2016 when the vote counts showed even slimmer margins. This is an attempt at a coup that needs to be shut down. Bad enough when Republican leadership was catering to this guy’s every whim when he was President, no matter how questionable. Even more pathetic that they are doing so while he is on his way out the door as a loser.
Never want to hear the Republicans refer to themselves as the party of “Law & Order” again. Biden has a lot of work ahead of him and this distraction isn’t going to make it easier.
Concession isn’t in our Constitution and isn’t a part of our election process.
It’s just a weird tradition that seems to have been established when inexplicably gave media channels the responsibility of “projecting” winners and “calling” elections. They get it wrong all the time.
I don’t take issue with calling this shit an “attempted coup”, as it was quite obvious that Trump and the Republicans had all this shit planned before Nov. 3rd. What makes me scratch my head, though, is why we can’t just all chill the fuck out and let things, for perhaps the first time, play out the way it’s supposed to. The ELECTORS will cast their votes on 12/14 and we’ll have a President chosen.

Neither party should adopt that tag.
It’s been historically established what the so-called Republicans mean by “law and order” . . . . it means they don’t want blue collar street crime anywhere near their houses or places of work, leisure, etc. Lock 'em up. Fry 'em like fish. It certainly does NOT mean going hard on crimes that they or their comrades actually commit regularly (tax evasion, embezzlement, fraud, etc.).
Anyway, I just want this shit done with.
I think it’s kind of silly for Democrats to expect Trump to suddenly be Dudley Do-Right and participate in these weird old school protocols of decorum like “conceding” an election, especially when they spent the last 4 years trying to take him out by any means necessary. Just give him his space, let him throw his tantrums, and let the system take care of it the way it’s supposed to.
As someone who doesnt really gamble but still knows the rules of poker… tell me how there is skill to poker… im not saying your wrong i legit wanna know… where is their skill in getting random cards?
Im on my phone right now but I’ll update everyone with my crazy thoughts in a TLDR post a little later… i will tease I’m not celebrating like i would like too.
As someone who doesnt really gamble but still knows the rules of poker… tell me how there is skill to poker… im not saying your wrong i legit wanna know… where is their skill in getting random cards?
It’s kinda “random” for a guy like me who is too lazy to do the math in my head for what’s left in a deck and what other players have, might have and/or probably have. But for someone with the focus and dedication, the “randomness” ends after the initial dealing of the cards.
When you are playing AGAINST other players, you definitely want a skillset. You are basing your guesses on what they may have based on the given hard mathematics/statistics of the cards in play and what remains, but also you are assessing their own confidence levels based on the others’ behaviour. Does their voice change when they get nervous? Are they blinking a lot? And so on. These physical cues are obviously gone when doing online poker, but you can still assess people a bit by how they bet, raise, fold, trash talk (if there’s a text element) etc. I find the idea of online poker very interesting, because, although I’m not an expert on software or apps or anything, I’m sure there are a million ways that someone could develop some value-added hacks to let a computer or device make such assessments for you. It’s not an exact science, obviously, but it’s all about gaining any micro-edge over anyone else that you can.
There’s equity, fold equity, implied odds, and pot odds.
Equity – win probability
Fold equity – special case of win probability as a result of villain folding to your bet
Pot Odds – ratio of amount you will win to the amount you have to invest
Implied odds – increase in pot odds by adding to the win amount an estimate of money you will win in a future street if you hit your outs
There’s a lot of math in poker. If you wanna be successful long term you have to know these things. Feel players may get lucky and win here and there but if you’re not using math to calculate your odds you’re going to lose long term. Then there’s a matter of reading your opponents which is another good skill to have, you’ll often see pros scouting players to get some valuable intel. So yea lots of skill involved.
Thanks for the response. I replied to you in the poker thread.
So, I’m definitely happy with the election results. To say I’m not happy with the response to the election results could possibly one of the biggest understatements of all time.
On Tuesday when the results started coming in and I saw trump had a 2 million vote lead it hit me hard. I could not believe, did not want to believe that the country was going for this fucker. (Even though Biden was winning the electoral college) It made me sad and scared for what we’ve become as a nation to openly embrace authoritarianism. I had to stop paying attention to the results. I turned it off for a couple days. My wife kinda acted as my filter giving me bits of info here and there, but I mostly turned my back on it. I felt slightly better the next day when I saw Biden had taken over the popular vote along with holding his electoral lead. While I still wasn’t happy with the prospect that trump could win the electoral college, it was a little reassuring that the majority had rejected him… again.
On Saturday when my wife woke me up to show me that Biden was the projected winner it was like I could feel the weight leave off my chest. That only lasted so long because I started to see the Trump response, and the weight began to sit on my chest again.
I told you guys before I ended up on a trump mailing list… so the emails start pouring in and the subject lines are frightening. “we’re going to WAR over this,” “CRUSH the Radical Left,” “The Media Is Lying,” “DEFEND DEMOCRACY,” “DEFEND THE ELECTION,”“WE WILL SAVE THE COUNTRY,” “The media DOES NOT Decide who gets to be president,” “THEY want to STEAL this election.” Normally, “who cares?“ Except now you got these trumpers that start repeating this nonsense. In all of trumps fraud claims he has not one shred of evidence, nor has he offered any evidence, but to his voters he doesn’t need it. All he’s doing is saying what “everyone already knows.”
So, now the people have spoken. trump lost by even more votes this time, which is proof positive of voter fraud, just ask trump. The dems are on their way to successfully pulling off a coup. (A coup that apparently involves keeping Moscow Mitch and Graham in office.) Which plays right into his narrative…
Trump refuses to leave, he ramps up his “fraud” and “coup” claims and digs in his heels. So, for the next two months all we’ll hear from him is “fraud” and “coup.” So, here comes January and here he still hasn’t left the white house. Undoubtedly, he will be escorted from the premises either in hand cuffs or not, but that image of him being perp walked out will lend him and his supporters the “credibility” needed to “prove” this is a coup.
I don’t know if any of you have the pleasure of living in any sort of red area, but I do, and let me tell you, the day Biden was announced the line outside of “Turners” (gun store) was so fucking long it wrapped around the building.
Now, with that little bit of information let me redirect you back to “we are witnessing ‘voter fraud’ and a ‘coup’ by these Marxists!” “Patriots” are going to “defend their country,” (even though they’re just being used as a tool of trump.) and their president being escorted out is proof enough for them that this is a coup. How does his base react? The people buying guns on Saturday, no doubt, already have guns, but I would dare venture that these gun buyers are not progressives and with how unhinged these true believers are I honestly can’t see how this “transition” is going to be able to go without a call to violence especially considering the rhetoric coming out of trump. And speaking of call to violence let me now redirect you the subjects of the emails trump has been blasting out and will no doubt continue to blast out… Aside from asking for money for a campaign in an election that is over (something he claimed he would never do because “I’m wealthy, I don’t need your money!”) What else are his emails other than a call to arms?
We’ve already seen a sheriff have to step down in Arkansas for calling for the murder of Democrats. A sheriff!! A fucking SHERIFF!!! (He’s the second one. One got dismissed in August for the same shit) Not some middle-class white kid wearing a mask and holding matches claiming to be from Antifa. A fucking Sheriff! A person of considerable power and influence, So?! Anybody wanna tell me again that Antifa is the big terrorist organization that’s gonna ruin our country, while ignoring the actual terrorists that are in charge and running the country? “Oh, well, grmpy, he was just venting cause he’s mad.” Sure thing! Which I suppose might be forgivable except when you consider the body count in this country at the hands of these right wing extremists. I ask again… Does Antifa even have a body count? Does Antifa hold sheriff jobs? Does Antifa hold any legitimate form of power in this country? No, they’re just people standing up to the bullies, and sometimes destroying property built off of a racist system (unless of course it’s right wingers doing it to start shit up).
So, no, I’m not celebrating, I’m legit scared that this going to end in bloodshed, A lot of it.
You cannot have a single adult conversation online without politics and inevitably Trump hate taking over the discussion
I don’t see any of this. It’s all “Those stupid communist libs.”
Whether it was big tech censoring conservatives
Absolutely not true. The fact that you post this without checking to see if it’s true is quite concerning. Fact checking is NOT CENSORING. https://www.businessinsider.com/republican-sen-mike-lee-said-fact-checking-form-of-censorship-2020-10
Taking away Steve Bannon’s platform for calling for the world’s leading infections expert to be beheaded along with the director of the FBI is NOT CENSORSHIP. Itpublic fucking safety
When Dems are actively telling people to harass Conservatives in restaurants and stores like Maxine Waters did you know they’ve lost control of their faculties.
Link this please because this is what I’m seeing Sheriff’s and righties doing…
When this over and Trump is president for 4 more years," one said, "do not forget what these Marxist bastards have tried to do. When you see one in public get in their face do not give them any peace. Throw water on them at restaurants. Push them off sidewalks. Never let them forget they are traitors and have no right to live in this Republic after what they have done.
Biden and Trump aren’t force multipliers they’re placeholders. They’re like the mediocre assistant coaches in the NFL that land the head coaching job of a terrible team simply to manage the day to day and not sink the ship lol. So,
HALLELUJAH! The slightly more tolerable geezer got the job. Can we see some semblance of normalcy now?
Yeah, I’m gonna go with no on this. I know it’s all PC for the last 20 years to play the “both sides” game and you think you’re being all fair by trying to create a false equivalency between trump and biden. but there is no equivalency to be had and you look ridiculous trying to do so.
Uh no that’s a rock solid analogy partner. Nice try tho

Oh look, Extra has dismissed something with no evidence or explanation. Just because he says so makes him right. Don’t dare question him on it though. probably because his brain goes into TLDR mode after anything longer than a sound bite. Any kind of substance or depth that can’t be over simplified into a simple easily manageable sentence becomes too hard for him to grasp.
Not even pretend solid.
They are not the same. I’d go so far as saying he’s not even the same as other republicans. even back as far as Nixon. And Nixon and Reagan were both bastards but it doesn’t even compare.
i cant really comprehend anyone being “pro-trump” considering what a complete full-of-shit fucking idiot he is. the only thing i can come up with is they are either ignorant, or prefer the division and racial divide.
I know this is going to come off really condescending, but I truly don’t mean it that way, but… I’m really happy to see you write this. I know you are conservative I know we don’t agree on much and you usually stay quiet on most things unless it’s to swipe at me and my opinions , but I’m really happy to see it really is policy/direction for you. I can’t fault you for that.
Many on the board think I’m this huge socialist liberal commie. I’m not. I quite regularly get banned or chased off liberal boards I frequent for being a “troll” or a stupid republican because I don’t fall in line.
I don’t agree with John Kasic and he’s about as opposite from Bernie as you can get, But in the 2016 election, I firmly believe he and Bernie were the only 2 on both stages that had the countries best interests at heart. and had the tickets been Hillary V Kasic he most definitely woulda got my vote. No socialist liberal commie would ever do that.
I’d like to think that biden has the countries best interests in mind, but based on who he ran against it’s hard to get an accurate assessment. I guess maybe he does just by default because he, hopefully, (fingers crossed) got rid of trump.

This is based mostly on superficial observation and “gut feeling” as opposed to any in depth analysis, but I’ve really got the sense that Biden just really really really really wants to be President before he dies. The only part that doesn’t make sense to me is why he didn’t try to run right after Obama as that would have truly been a “peaceful transition of power”. Maybe he was just exhausted and needed a break. Or maybe he saw America’s continued thirst for leadership from anything other than the same rich, old, lying, white pervert males and figured it best to stand down and let the lady go for it.
Anyway, considering he is 185 years old and not even expected to live 8 more years, let alone serve them (he literally said he was not going to seek a second term, which I think is an extremely odd position for anyone who has any confidence in their health and abilities), and since it appears he’s just a happy placeholder and an assumed puppet for the Democrats, I really get the sense that this is less of a higher-calling for him and more of a bucket list mark off. It seems that most rabid lifelong politicians dream of getting that ultimate gold ring. So, yeah, rolling into his final laps of life I could see him reviewing his scrap book of things done and things yet undone. “Be a Senator, Climb Half-Dome, see Steely Dan, bang a black chick . . . . oh, fuck, I still need to be President!”
I wish the best for any President (yes, even Trump). I want them all to succeed and win, so our country will succeed and win. When December 14 comes, I hope that the votes fall in Biden’s favor, Trump can begrudgingly accept the outcome finally, and we can finally move forward. I think Biden sucks, but I also think our nation needs some fucking breathing room, hahaha. It just feels so claustrophobic right now, and I would like to see us try to get back to the previous 90% of our lives where MOST people didn’t really give a shit who was in office because we were mostly Americans who took care of our own shit regardless of which stuffed suit was on display at any given time.
We’ll see…
“See Steely Dan” hahahahha…
I’ve really got the sense that Biden just really really really really wants to be President before he dies
I don’t have this observation at all. For specifically the reasons you mentioned after the quote. I, quite honestly, believe Biden white knighted this shit. I very much believe he was done with politics but stepped up here.
I still stand by my earlier post written somewhere on here where I fully believe Biden will step down and let Kamala be pres.
I wish the best for any President (yes, even Trump) I want them all to succeed and win, so our country will succeed and win.
I’m with you in this sentiment. But Trump didn’t play out this way. The best for Trump was ONLY best for trump. the rest of us got fucked. When he first got in my wife was upset but I was cautiously optimistic, 'Well, he’s not a politician, He’s apparently independently wealthy, maybe he will do good by us" By that clearly was not the case. He came in and shit all over the constitution and lowered the quality of life for everyone unless you already were wealthy. Despite what most morons think Wall St. is NOT Main St.
When people start celebrating Wall St. I’m always reminded of an episode of The Simpsons where they split Springfield in half and find oil reserves or gold or something on the side Mr. Burns is on and Mr. Burns Exclaims “Yay, we’re slightly wealthier.” Wall St. is only the Wealthy getting wealthier. It doesn’t affect normal middle class and certainly not poor people.
When December 14 comes, I hope that the votes fall in Biden’s favor, Trump can begrudgingly accept the outcome finally, and we can finally move forward
I would love for that to happen but I’m not optimistic. I really think this is gonna get worse.
I still stand by my earlier post written somewhere on here where I fully believe Biden will step down and let Kamala be pres.
I don’t think there’s anyone that disagrees with this prediction.
I think the only point of debate is whether Biden will finish out his four years first or the torch will be passed as a result of Biden’s untimely demise, some Amendment 25 jibber jabber, or just a voluntary stepping down. How would that play out? A year in and Old Joe is like, “Oh, hey, yeah, uhhh, I thought I’d be a good President, but I just realized that I’m super fucking old, I can’t remember who I am or what I’m doing, and I could drop dead at any given minute. Where’s Kamala? Kamala? Oh, there you are. [Points at some random child in audience] Tag, you’re it!”
Ha Ha.
Yeah, I think it will be a “due to health reasons…” speech. I just can’t determine when it will happen maybe a year in? I don’t know. I could be wrong. Just a guess.
HAHAHA!!! This shit really is pretty funny.
It’s like . . . . uhhh, no one else is talking, Bitch.
Anyway, I just clicked “reply” for someone else’s comment to see if that’s a loophole that can be used.
QUESTION: I know I can Google the Constitution, but I don’t care THAT much yet but…
If Kamala were to assume the Presidency from a handoff from Joe, does she then get to RUN for two more terms following that, or she’d only get to do one more 4 year term? I know it’s a two term limit, but . . . . what if she wasn’t actually “elected” to the first round of Presidency?
