Thanks for posting that!

I didn’t realize he was done with the album. I’m looking forward to hearing the whole thing . . . even though I’m not looking forward to the drum machine.

Great interview, and typically it’s good because he’s not rambling like a drug-addled idiot.

…although some of his great past interviews he was way out into the zone…

“For now, the record is still being shopped to labels and its’ future is somewhat uncertain.”

So I guess 13th Planet Records is all but officially dead.

Great interview, Al hasn’t had so much interesting stuff to say in a long time.

That was an amazing interview. I really thought I’d never see the day Al wasn’t smoking and drinking, AND the Buck Satan record got finished. Al sounded really great, reminded me of the old sharp whit he had back in the day.

HEAVY.

[shocked]

I’m fuckin’ stoked.

My feelings exactly. Stupid drum machine. He’s not even using it to its full potential.

Anyway, about this line:
For now, the record is still being shopped to labels and its’ future is somewhat uncertain.
Sounds like he’s still stuck in a 20th Century mindset. He should release it himself via Bandcamp or Tunecore or whatever. Make a limited edition of the physical copy that he can sell for a higher price - I know he knows how to do THAT. Fuck retail outlets. It’s no longer necessary.

But eh, whatever. I just want to hear the damn thing.

Also, congrats to Al on the sobriety. I’ll be expecting that Oscar any year now.

Good to see he’s sober. Eventually, that shit catches up to you. Seems like he was still drunk when recording though…but I’m still curious to hear it. His name still has “some” cred left I’m sure. So some label could release it I’m sure.

WOW…just WOW !!!

Good for Al for 12 stepping it! I think the interview shows that he definitely comes across as a lot smarter when he’s not boozed up on cheap wine.

That’s about the best Al interview I’ve read since the early 90s. I’m actually excited about what he might do next… junkie jazz sounds kind of interesting.

That really is a great interview and I am excited to hear the Buck Satan album!

I thought the two tracks I heard were decent and I liked the fresh direction of them but I agree the programmed drums were kind of a let-down. I’ll have to give this another chance.

I’m really hoping this is finally the new Jourgensen album I’ve been waiting for that I can play around my house and friends a lot without a little cringing or feeling embarrassed.

“There is no more Ministry: no Ministry comeback and none of this other crap that all these guys who say it’s their last thing and then come out with something else as soon as they need to pay their mortgage or buy a yacht or something like that. I’m pretty self-sufficient.” — I suppose Al isn’t counting on that hoarde of crappy remixxxxxxxxx albums.

Or cover albums. Or remixxxed cover albums. Or covers of remixxx albums. Or covers of remixxxed covers of Christmixxx albums . . . Or . . . . .

Anyway, I’m glad the dude is getting healthy and wish him well. I’m looking forward to hearing this album despite the drums. I thought the first two tracks were pretty processed and cheesy, but at least it was something different than anti-Bush-speedmetal.

Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to see the release of this album . . . . . Anyone wanna bet how many weeks after it’s release we’ll have . . . .

DUB SATAN AND THE MIXXX MIXXX MIXXX SHOOTERS

???

Just kill me now. I’ve had my heart broken way too many times to put too much faith in this (but I do hope I’m proven wrong).

Thanx! I should’ve called on you first…

Remixxxxxxxxed by Erie Loch of course.

Oh yeah. That’s a given.

Or cover albums. Or remixxxed cover albums. Or covers of remixxx albums. Or covers of remixxxed covers of Christmixxx albums . . . Or . . . . .

Maybe now that he’s sober he’ll realize what he’s done:
“I’m re-recorded Jesus Built My Hot Rod without Gibby and they put it on a roller derby compilation? If I ever act like I want to drink or do drugs again, punch in the face.”

Erie Re-Built My Hot Rod.
